Spacious and charming Vermont village house, circa mid 1800's. Conveniently located in the Waitsfield Village Historic District. Just minutes walk to the Mad River will bring you to the oldest covered bridge still in use in the state of Vermont.

The cottage offers a large eat in kitchen with a quiet and relaxing porch, a place we love to welcome the day with that first cup of coffee or tea. Four bedrooms and a den offer plenty of comfortable space to rest. We have just recently added a half bath upstairs.

Thanks for sharing your lovely cottage with us. It was the perfect base for hiking, biking, kayaking, tubing, shopping, golfing, and all the other great activities. Everyone was comfortable and the time and care you have put into the cottage are obvious. We've had a great time and we'll try to remember the crisp, cool mornings when we get back home

Another wonderful summer holiday in what Evie calls her holiday home! Thanks so much for the delicious summer harvest that awaited us - we followed your advice and had mojitos......... perfect with afternoon croquet. We'll be seeing you again next year

Thank you for a marvelous time of family bonding. The boys killed us at pictionary, but the girls ruled at Mancala! I can't think of anything we haven't bought in Vermont so I think it is time to go. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Year 5 for the "McPope" family. We have had another amazing year with many milestones for the kids (8, 9, 10). They are all outstanding skiers who now complain about having to wait for Mom & Dad! We all love "our ski house" and look forward to our time here. January, February and March are becoming our favorite time of year. Enjoy the rest of your year.

Wonderful plums! Really, a highlight of our stay. Thank you so much. Karen Your house's flavor captures the ordinary (pink formica, pale green cabinetry, cool floor colors throughout) and the unique (2 way cupboard) in a relaxed embrace. YUM! GG

Another year that exceeded our expectations! Year 1, 1 week, year 2, 2 months and year 3, 3 months. There is something really addictive about the cottage. We were all so delighted by your charming cottage. It stayed nice and cool inside and we slept very well. The village of Waitsfield is an easy walk. My son enjoyed swimming in the river. We all enjoyed eating and socializing in the roomy, yet cozy, kitchen and living area. All in all, a very idyllic setting! We have stayed at many rental houses from Michigan to Siena. This is among the most charming, comfortable and welcoming. It is authentic yet has all the modern conveniences. We had a great time with our kids. Love to get back in winter Thanks, Jim and Marilyn

Hi Deb and Dick, We absolutely LOVED the cottage and felt right at home!! Joe and Jeff skied 4 days while Gabi & I shopped and did lots of walking and sight seeing. We had a very relaxing week.
