After several years of family retreats, we found this beautiful mountain home to be tops! The house was very clean, well maintained, organized and lovely. With the creek and river running on each side and the screened porch you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors in comfort. There was plenty of room for all of us to enjoy group activities as well as cozy spots for 2 or three. Anyone choosing this location would not be disappointed. Thanks again!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our stay was fabulous! The house was a sight to behold. It was so spacious, well decorated and stocked. There is so much attention given to detail. The porches were lovely for sitting, rocking, swinging and eating. The river and stream were fun to play in. It was the perfect weekend to get away from the stresses of life. I can not imagine our stay to be any better or a house to be any nicer! Our family will always remember this special weekend we spent here. Amazing! Hopefully, we will return soon... perhaps for a longer stay!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My daughter, son, daughter-in-law, two grandchildren ages 9 and 7, and my husband and I had a fabulous week in this remarkable vacation home. There was plenty of room for everyone to get together and to get apart! The porches were delightful and the boys loved playing in the river. We have rented homes all over the world and this home was absolutely one of the best. It has so much beauty, privacy, and comfort. Edna was a gracious host.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This house was beautiful. it is nestled way back in the woods in complete seclusion with the sound of the river in the back ground. The house was perfect, the beds were comfortable and the house had all the essentials. Everything was clean and well maintained and ready for guests. This house was perfect for a girls weekend, but would be great for families with a large basement with game tables and wonderful outdoor space. The owner was wonderful and I would for sure rent form them again. The house was 15 mins from outlets, Dahlonega square and wineries. This was a perfect weekend get away and I was pleased to be your first renter.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: The owners are proud to share their river and mountain house with others to enjoy a quiet place in the woods. Recently retired from the building and development industry, the owners have decided to share their second for others to enjoy the uniqueness of the location.
Why the Owner Chose Dahlonega:
Nestled between Calhoun Creek and the Etowah River literally feet from both is the main reason for building this second home. This uniqueness alone is one to be shared, not kept to ones self. The peaceful setting and remote location, with close proximity to many modern conveniences, make this the perfect get-a-way location.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Get away from it all location. The river and creek along with the wildlife in the area provide the most peaceful surrounding to leave the world behind. Come fish in the river, sit on the porch in the swing, talk a hike in the woods or just sit back and enjoy the silence of nature.
