My family of four (2 adults, 2 young kids) stayed at this luxury villa for 9 days and we loved it! It's right in front of the pool which is super handy when your kids would rather be at the pool than the ocean. It's about a 1-2 minute walk on a trail right out front to the ocean and a sandy beach (there is nothing beachfront in this complex because it's on a bit of a bluff - beach access is simple and easy - and you get sweeping ocean views because you are a bit higher up). Anyone concerned about the weather shouldn't be. It's a bit cooler but it's a relief because it's still warm and beautiful just not as stifling hot and humid as we found when we drove around the island - we were always happy to come back to what we felt was absolutely perfect weather. The villa itself is outrageous! It's so beautifully appointed and has every amenity you could think of. You could host a dinner party for 20+ guests there are so many place settings! Super plush bath towels and beach towels, robes, etc., every detail was there. The complex is lovely and it's quiet and relaxing! The location is really great too, championship golf courses, superb dining, beach is in a bay, there is a public beach just up the road where there is great surfing, there are 2 great bays/beaches just south of you and snorkelling is awesome pretty much off of any beach in Maui. I highly recommend the Sea House, just down the road, for breakfast - great prices, awesome location and views and the food is super - try the house made cinnamon roll. So, in a nutshell, this rental is amazing - it's spacious, well appointed, tastefully decorated and still cozy and truly, it just felt like home. We dealt with Dave at Platinum Maui Vacations and he was so nice. He went out of his way to make our vacation a dream and I can't speak highly enough about him.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This condo certainly looks newly remodeled. The owners spared nothing when they did the remodel. Everything looks and feels top of the line! There were 2 couples that stayed in our group and we never felt crammed at all. The upstairs loft bedroom has BEAUTIFUL ocean views as does the kitchen and outdoor patio. We saw a TON of whales from all windows of the condo and it was even later in the season. I can only imagine what it would be like in the winter! It is such a lovely sound to hear waves crashing on the rocks below. We took advantage of the pool being right below our condo and lounged and grilled out a few times. It is a quick walk to a sandy beach as well. It was also a quick drive to Lahaina which is one of my favorite towns in Maui. Great restaurants and a mariana for the ferry to Lanai and all kinds of water "sports" (ie deep sea fishing, snorkeling, whale watching etc) I would recommend this condo to anyone who wants a relaxing Hawaii vacation!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The high end remodel; the large size of the villa; the BEAUTIFUL ocean front views; the proximity to the pool w/ gas grill and the short walk to two different Bays. I'm so glad you were able to enjoy the whales while they showed off their splendor! I also think it was awesome that you mentioned Lahaina town as well.
