This 3-Bedroom, Lakefront cottage is on a protected cove of Big Creek on beautiful Norris Lake.
Outside, this property has a private, ON-SITE BOAT RAMP and a floating dock. The dock includes a 10'x24' covered slip with an attached 8'x16' swim platform. The platform has a 4-step swim ladder and a patio table with umbrella and chairs. The cove is protected with absolutely NO BOAT TRAFFIC for kid-safe and worry-free swimming.
The house is close to the water and the slope is gentle. The upper level of the house has a covered, wrap-around deck which is equipped with a gas grill, picnic table, patio furniture, rocking chair and porch swing. Below the deck, there is a covered porch with a hammock and another porch swing for relaxing after a great day on the water!
Inside, the upstairs has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area with a table and chairs (seating for 8) and family room. There are two bedrooms with an adjoining Jack-and-Jill full bathroom with double vanity and separate shower/toilet.
Downstairs, there is a walk-out basement with one bedroom, full bathroom with laundry, rec-room and attached garage. There are 9 Ceiling Fans throughout the house for additional comfort! Total living space is 2000Sq.Ft.
All 3 bedrooms and the Rec-Room have newer carpet (May 2008)

Norris Lake has 800 miles of shoreline and has 34,000 acres of crystal clear water! Norris Lake and the Big Creek area are perfect for all water sports including slalom skiing, wake boarding, bare footing, knee boarding and fishing. There is a slalom course within 1 mile. Nearby marinas include Sequoyah, Whittman Hollow, Indian River and Norris Dam which rent pontoons, run-abouts and personal watercraft.
A 24' pontoon boat is available for rent next door! Rental is to be arranged directly with the owner (we can provide the telephone number).

My wife and I lived in Knoxville, TN for 10 years and loved spending time at Norris Lake. We now live in Northern KY so that we can be closer to our families.
Why the Owner Chose Jacksboro
Even though we moved, we wanted to continue to enjoy boating and skiing with our children and friends, so we bought this cottage to enjoy and share with others. Our property is close to our friends and it is in a wonderful area of Norris Lake.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Our property has a covered dock and an on-site boat ramp (which is quite rare at Norris). We are near the end of a cove, so there is no boat traffic in front of the dock and it is very safe for swimming, even for smaller children. The lot is not steep and the house is close to the water, so it is easy to walk between the house and dock. Our property is very peaceful and relaxing - it's a great family get-away!

We rented this property in April 2006 for spring break with the kids & absolutely loved it. The house is fully equipped & very clean -- we felt right at home. All we had to bring was clothes, food & toiletries. It's unbelievable how many people could stay here even though it is listed as a 3 bedroom. We had 2 families staying together with 4 adults, 4 kids and had room for more. 2-3 families would fit very comfortably if you are looking to share rental costs. We rented a houseboat for a day from a local marina & had a great time on the lake. It is in a remote area so if you are looking to really "get away from it all" but still want the amenities at home with nice quiet neighbors on each side, then this is the place for you! Our stay was fantastic so we're renting it again this year. Working with the owners was a very pleasant experience -- definitely a family you can trust. The owner described it to me as "her little piece of heaven" and I now know why!

My friends and I stayed a week in March and had a great time at the house. The house looks like it is brand new and is very nicely decorated. The pictures on the website don’t do it justice. The huge deck is perfect for spending time outside. Great neighbors. Owners are even better!

From the Owners (Mike and Annette): We lived in Knoxville, TN for 10 years and enjoyed boating on Norris Lake every chance that we could. After moving to the Cincinnati OH area, we would travel back to Norris Lake to visit friends and go boating. We found that we missed the lake so much, that we eventually bought this cottage so that we could continue to enjoy boating on Norris with our friends and children. Norris is a beautiful and clean lake! It is great for water sports and relaxing. We hope that you and your family enjoy Norris and our cottage as much as we do!
