Our home has one of the best views of San Miguel from our terrace. At night it is truly glamorous.My husband and his architectural partners were the planners for the Los Balcones Development and were were able to choose our site early on. The house flows beautifully, is colorful, full of folk art, and has a wonderful cook who has been with us for years. Just being in the kitchen with Margarita and watching her cook are your cooking lessons.
It is all generation friendly with all the public spaces and one bedroom at the entry level and a ramp to the inner courtyard for those who cannot do 3 stairs ( our son who uses a wheelchair). The other bedrooms are downstairs.
We have selected everything for our use, nothing was selected for a rental property.
For winter nights we also have a gas fireplace. Cozy, friendly easy and beautiful.
We have no reviews as we took this house off of vrbo while we had a long term tenant and relisting did not carry forward reviews.
At the house there is a little book of many years of reviews.

About the owner: John is an architect and Margaret is an interior designer and colorist. We live in San Antonio, Texas with our adult son who has cerebral palsy, which is why the house is wheelchair accessable. Our adult daughter lives nearby. We have been traveling to San Miguel since our honeymoon, our children spent all their vacations there as we were captivated by this fabulous Colonial town.
Why the Owner Chose Balcones:
The land we occupy was part of the planning fee for Los Balcones. John had never built a home for his family, so he built this home, thinking we would sell it eventually. The views are just so incredible, we could not bear to sell this home.. Until lately, we could drive there in 12 hours from our home in Texas. We enjoy visiting Guanajuato and Dolores Hidalgo, enjoy walking everywhere, eating at the restaurants, and just enjoying being on the streets in this wonderful Colonial city, enjoying the flowers, culture and color.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The terrace views are wonderful, the house flows well and is a great place to entertain or just relax. If you have a car there is a place to park in the garage, Margarita is a wonderful cook, and we can stroll to the Botanical Gardens nearby.
