The Lieutenant's Island Beach House is a sparkling contemporary on 6 acres with panoramic bay and marsh views from every room. Shores of Eastham, Orleans, Brewster, and Dennis can be seen to the south, Blackfish Creek, Indian Neck and Pleasant Point to the north.
Light, breezy, comfortable, and fully equipped for a vacation to treasure, it's a short walk in any direction to the island's warm water beaches. Relax on any of 5 decks.
Dine alfresco on the screen porch. Curl up with a movie or a good book in the cozy den. The night sky is amazing; the stars really seem close enough to touch.

A group of us stayed a week over the 4th of July. The house is a little more outdated than what shows on the website pictures but overall it's a fine place to stay and the marsh/water views are very pretty. If you want to sit on the decks, you can choose one based on the breeze but they are all nice. The main issue that isn't listed here (and i thought people should know) is the tide factor. There are certain times each day where high tide prohibits you from coming and/or going from the house for about 2 hours. If you plan on spending most of your time relaxing at the house and walking to the one beach that is relatively close (very quiet, not a lot of people if thats what you like) - you'll be fine. We wanted to visit the Cahoun Hollow Beach and some other activiies and found it restricted us or forced us to go back to the house before we were ready (or wait it out too late). Once again, not a bad place to stay at all -- but I felt people should know about the tide so you can make an appropriate call on where you want to stay.Recommended for: Pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.
