We had to leave this wonderful apartment to go on to Brussels and then to Paris. It was hard to leave. Great apartment. Minh and Jean were so very helpful. Location was PERFECT!!!! We walked and walked and ate WONDERFUL food everywhere. The pizza around the corner was so convenient one night when we were too tired to go out. Good vino everywhere too. The trams and buses were so efficient and easy to figure out. We took day trips to Eze and St. Paul de Vence. Walking the Promonade was breathtaking. The apartment is exactly as described and we very much enjoyed our stay. Would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for the great time!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Just got home from Nice with my family of 5. My wife and I went to Nice with our three young daughters (ages 11, 11, and 8). This apartment was everything we dreamed about. It's located on the rue Droite right in the middle of the Old Town. The view out our bedroom window was straight up the staggered steps to the castle hill. 50 feet to the left of our window was an amazing Baroque church, and 10 seconds from your front door is a wonderful boulangerie (seriously, 10 seconds). Cours Saleya with the open air market was 1 minute from the front door. Very spacious, even for our family of five. Private entrance. The separate bedroom provided a sense of privacy for my wife and I. Lots of windows that open onto to medieval streets below. We shopped at the market, cooked our own food (buy the hand-made ravioli up the street), ate croissants and chocolate beignet EVERY morning, and had Fennochio's gelato EVERY night (nothing stops the bickering amongst three young girls like an ice cream). We rented a car and drove the Moyen Corniche to Monaco, La Turbie, Eze, Eze sur Mer (to see Bono's house!), and even took the car into Italy to visit Dolceacqua and Apricale. The views on the Moyen Corniche cannot be put in words--unbelievable. Best of all, Minh was so easy to deal with and helpful. She sent pages of information on the area once we booked. Even more amazing was Jean, who manages the property. We texted him upon arrival at the train station, he personally picked us up at the tram stop, walked us to the apartment, and made sure we were comfortable with everything in the place. A true gentleman, he was there for our every need but never intrusive. The apartment gives you independence, but there is a wonderful sense of security knowing that Jean is there. If you're going to Nice with a family, or even a small group of adults (you could get 6 in the apartment), and you want to get away from the traditional tourist experience, this place is it. Simply perfect. Thank you Minh and Jean. We're already planning to come back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much Shane for this wonderful review. You described the apt and its location so well! It even makes me want to go and stay...! I bought this apt a long time ago and I think it was the first vacation rental in the old town back then, now there are many. It is so nice to know that people appreciate its great location and its spaciousness, the 2 main reasons why I bought in Old Nice, which was not as hip 15 years ago! Now it is one of the hottest neighborhoods in Nice, if not its soul! Jean is a real asset to my properties, I am very lucky to have him as a manager, and for him to be able to greet and assists all my renters is so valuable. We hope to have your lovely family back soon! All the best!

As two 21 year olds who have spent the last 6 months in a tiny studio in Paris, this apartment may as well have been a palace! The main room is very spacious as well as beautifully decorated with colorful tiles, and the bedroom is just as adorable. Aside from the apartment itself, the location could not have been better: the apartment is right in the middle of Vieux Nice, surrounded by tons of delicious restaurants, the daily market, and plenty of gelato places. The beach was a short two minute walk, and the nearby tram takes you anywhere else you want to go in Nice. Jean, the caretaker, was really sweet and helpful in every way, from restaurant recommendations (he directed us to Pizza Pilis which is pretty much the best deal ever!) to advice on which other cities on the Riviera we should visit. This apartment is pretty much perfect!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Merci Sarah for your appreciation. You and your friends were wonderful guests and it was our pleasure to host such lovely young ladies! Bonne chance with your studies and we hope you will be back one day!

I have spent the last two months in this apartment and to stay here was the best choice I could have ever made. First off, the apartment is very spacious. There is lots of room, unlike many others places you will find in Vieux Nice. It has a large bedroom with a comfortable bed. The kitchen was stocked for all of my cooking needs. The living/dining area is open with a large dining room table and is equipped with cable television, a phone (free calling anywhere in the US), and wireless internet. And the apartment is very quiet with soundproof windows. The location of the apartment was perfect for me, being close to everything. In the midst of an active square, I could walk to many great restaurants, cafe's and boutiques, and the daily open market happens every day, beginning about 10:00am and goes until 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon, where I could buy fresh fruits, vegetables and also flowers. And there is a local fish market just around the corner. And if you like to shop, like me, there are wonderful retail stores along with a few malls, Galleria Lafayette and Nice Etiole, located just across from Vieux Nice along a pedestrian zone. I walked out my door and in a 5 minute walk through Old Town, I was at the beach. The apartment is also just 5 minutes to the local bus and the tram. And the train station is also in walking distance. This allows you to take amazing day trips to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (magical place), Eze, Saint Paul de Vence, Antibes, Menton, Monaco, Cannes, St. Tropez.. and the tram takes you to all the local spots. One of the biggest assets of renting this apartment is the Property Manager, Jean. He was at hand for any information and help that I needed in getting me more familiarized with the Old Town of Nice and its surroundings. And if there was any problem, he was at the door within 10 minutes ready to solve anything. On a personal note, I am staying in Nice for another two months, and I wished I had booked this place for the entire visit. I have had to look at many other apartments in the last few weeks, and there is no question, this is the best place of all. I will be back for sure. Thank you to Jean for all of your invaluable help and thank you Minh for your lovely apartment and giving me two great months in Nice. à bientôtOwner response: Merci Pamela for your kind words. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and found interesting places to visit. This apt is indeed in an excellent location to explore the Riviera and Nice. I am very lucky to have Jean as property manager. He is extremely helpful. We hope to have you back soon and wish you all the best. A bientot
