Located on a private island with year round road access a large private lot, large dock, amazing private sandy beach, lit pathway to the lake, outdoor firepit and large decks provide the optimal family vacation experience. The gradual access to the lake along with the design of the house makes this home extremely friendly for young children, elderly and those with physical challenges. Fish off the dock for bass or rent a boat and catch salmon or trout in one of the cleanest lakes in the state. The abundant high bush blueberry bushes provide fresh fruit in July and August for pancakes or pies.

Great location. We had a wonderful time here. Good beach. If you have a boat be careful of the rocks. We're definitely going back.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful week at 'New Beginnings'!! We visited with another family - 4 adults, 4 kids aged 7, 6, 5 and 3, and found the house perfectly situated on an island on Thompson Lake. The house is very well equipped with all the relevant kitchen ware etc. Nice to have 3 refrigerators in the property for food/drinks. Very comfortable beds and the place was clean and well presented. The photos of the house accurately reflect the house and the lake was simply stunning! Warm clear water, beautiful beach providing easy access for the little kids. We rented a motor boat from Thompson Lake Marina which was great fun! Definitely recommended. We also enjoyed the kayaks and went out each day to kayak around the island with the kids. The owner was helpful in answering our questions about the hot tub, and came over straight away to clean it out for us so we could sit and enjoy the stars above each evening. She was professional and friendly with all her correspondence. We would love to return again to this special place.Recommended for: Families with young children.

This home was perfect size for two families ( four adults and 5 young boys ). The photos pretty much reflected the home, however the view was even better in person! The water was clean & clear to swim in, kids enjoyed fishimg and wonderful place to kayak around the island. The house had all of the necessary immenities as well. The fresh blueberries on the property were a wonderful treat. Island was a great place to take a walk too. Good in between place to visit Mt Washington & LLBean. Owner was very accessible for questions and was incredibly friendly.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We were looking for a place to start our summer off, when the kids school ended. We had gone to the Belgrade Lakes but wanted something different this year. We started looking for lakes first, Thompson had what we were looking for; clear water, moderate temperature and good length, (were boaters) 12 miles by 2, with little marina and food spots dotted here and there, lots of islands too. We found the Jordon home next...Seculuded location, sandy beach, with dock, fire pit, kayacks, to use..... everything we were looking for. The home is very welll appointed, all we brought was food, everything else was there. We had a great time with the kids, swiming all day long, kayack adventures, bike rides, sunset cruises on the boat.... Badmitten matches with everyone, then a cool off dip in the lake...What more quality time could a family ask for. The Owner was professional and timely in all correspondence, rental agreement and to include return of the modest security deposit. We are planning our next stay at the Jordan home for the fall...Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car.
