WHAT'S AT THE RANCH AT ROARING FORK? It is often called an adult's playground. Over 300 acres are a fly-fishing development that features private access to gold-medal fishing on two private miles of the Roaring Fork River, 8 miles of streams and several ponds - all home to native trout. This is a catch and release, fly-fishing only property.

In addition to the Ranch property you are only minutes away from the Colorado River, the world-famous Frying Pan River, and the Crystal River. No wonder Glenwood Springs has been ranked as the number one fishing town in the US!

The Ranch is a terrific family vacation spot. With its par-three nine-hole golf course out the back door, tennis courts, playground for kids and access to endless hiking and biking trails; you will wish you could spend months instead of weeks here.

The central location on Colorado State Highway 82 is unsurpassed if you are interested in exploring the entire Roaring Fork Valley - from historic Aspen through quaint Basalt and Carbondale, to the world-renowned Glenwood Springs featuring the largest hot springs pool in the world.

Local bicycling is second to none with numerous dedicated bike paths and endless opportunities for mountain biking. The Rio Grande trail stretches from Aspen to Glenwood and connects with the Glenwood Canyon trail. Most bike paths are easy to moderate, bikes can be rented in Carbondale or Glenwood and the scenery is not to be missed!

River rafting, kayaking, and guided fly-fishing trips are all popular activities and a great way to experience the outdoors. Glenwood also features a zip-line across the Colorado river, the white water park and caverns on Iron Mountain. Other attractions include numerous superb restaurants and outstanding galleries.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING for a cost-effective vacation spot - come to the Ranch! You will appreciate the lower elevation (6100 ft. versus 8000 ft. in Aspen), warm and sunny climate, cool summer evenings and numerous activities.

WE WELCOME YOU TO OUR CONDO AND WON'T BE SURPRISED TO SEE YOU RETURNING YEAR AFTER YEAR!

More about the Roaring Fork River and its Gold Medal designation*:

"The Roaring Fork is a Gold Medal freestone river that originates above Aspen near Independence Pass and winds its way down the valley about 70 miles. It culminates at its confluence with the Colorado River in Glenwood Springs. Throughout this relatively short distance the Roaring Fork falls more in elevation than the Mississippi River does in its entire length, which gives it many different faces. These characteristics make it attractive for many types of recreation activities. "

"The Roaring Fork River is a popular destination among fishermen, rafters and kayakers. For walking and wading anglers the Roaring Fork River is a brawling river that lives up to its name as it tumbles down from 12,000 foot Independence Pass. The Roaring Fork provides the best winter fishery, in the state, for large trout and trophy mountain whitefish."

1. Glenwood Springs, Colo.
2. Mountain Home, Ark.
3. Traverse City, Mich.
4. Bozeman, Mont.
