Our casa has been remodeled to have all the updates but still retains its quaint Mexican feel. Why come to Mexico and stay in a hotel that looks like any other place in the USA. This is a 3 story villa located on the water that comes with a boat slip. The top floor is the master suite with its own bathroom and private furnished patio. A famous artist here in Mexico painted a huge tropical mural against one of the walls that goes perfectly with the tropical birds you will hear regularly just outside. The 2nd floor has two bedroom. One bedroom and its own private bath and furnished patio face the water. This is my favorite spot for coffee in the morning and a margarita in the evening. The other bedroom has a private bath and balcony facing a very tropical courtyard with cobblestone and a fountain. The bottom floor is the living room, kitchen, guest bathroom and laundry facilities. We think we have the prettiest kitchen in all of Isla iguana as it was my dad's creation on how to expand what originally was a postage stamp sized kitchen. The guest bath has a beautiful onyx sink that lights up.

Casa Filez is a very nice place to stay, it is in a very clean and neat community where the people are very friendly. The beds and sofas are very comfortable and the kitchen is great. The place is in a good location within easy walking distance to Walmart or the Marina. There is also easy access to buses or taxis. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice well stocked place to stay. Thank you Joni and Bill for letting us stay in your wonderful casa.Recommended for: Tourists without a car.

my wife and i stayed there for 2 months the location is perfect a short walk and you are at the bus stop to take you anywhere in pv or a short 10 min walk and you are at the liverpool mall the condo is fully equipped with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable the area is nice and quiet if you want to just relax and enjoy the view of the marina or a short 10 min walk and you are in the heart of the marina zone with restaurants and shops to keep you occupied and entertained anna marie ( the condo agent)met us at the condo on our arrival to be sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed and stopped by if the front door was open to say hi see if everything was fine or if we needed anything or just to show her smiling face joni was a pleasure to deal with and the condo was everything we expected if you are looking for a condo in the marina area and want to be private and quiet yet only minutes away from everything this is the condo we would stay there again garyRecommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your review. You sure are right about the location. In addition to how convenient the location is, the city can be very noisy all hours of the night with music. Our location is just far enough away to avoid the noise but just close enough to be anywhere in the city within a few minutes. Of course its also hard to beat the beautiful view of the water, marina, lovely tropical gardens and palm trees. You also mentioned that my Casa had everything to make you comfortable and enjoy your stay. Because this is one of my personal homes, I actually live here part of the year and so designed the comfort for myself and what I thought others would like. This is truly one of the big differences from staying at a hotel or a 100% rental property. I tried very hard to make this a home away from home for myself and for my guests so very pleased you noticed this. I will be very happy to have you stay in my casa in the future.

I don't know how you can beat a waterfront PV retreat that is gated and private, but only a walk to the marina and five minutes to the airport. An exceptionally well kept and secure gated property with all the amenities; new AC, a gorgeous pool that’s very private, wonderful grounds that are exceptionally well maintained and colorful, a great floor plan that offers intimate privacy with its own deck overlooking your own dock on a canal, a fountain (outside your courtyard entrance!), who would know that this Mexican Venice existed. Joan was very helpful pointing out places to eat and secret places to explore, what a spot! See you next year!!! We spent a week in this property. We traveled all around Puerto Vallarta and really enjoyed the area. We snorkeled nearby in a deserted beach, bought silver in a market, ate many fine meals nearby in the Marina restaurants and downtown. Neighbors are friendly and an international mix around the pool. This unit is close to everything and in a quieter section. The pool is right behind, the dock in out the front door, there's a large grocery store 3 blocks away and the kitchen and bedrooms are all updated. This is a great value with three private bedrooms/attached baths/balconies and a private patio. We will return here.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: I was raised in Washington State around boating my entire life so I have always loved being by the water and especially boating. I also love to walk, hike, and bike. The ideal climate and community here allow for outdoor activities most of the year. In addition, I like painting oil on canvas. Everything in mexico is so colorful which really appeals to my creative side after completing a 30 year career in public accounting.
Why the Owner Chose Marina Vallarta:
I came down for Christmas 8 years ago and realized how wonderful it was. If you are a golfer, there are 2 golf courses in the Marina. If you a bike rider, there are 2 bike rides planned a week where the street is closed that leave from the marina. If you are a boater, well there are the most amazing and beautiful boats as you walk the marina.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
We are only 5 minutes from the airport in the Marina of Puerto Vallarta. This is a lovely community called Isla Iguana which is located inside a security village There is parking inside the guard gate but you don't really need to rent a car as you can walk to a huge amount of restaurants, shopping and beaches located in the marina. If you don't like to walk, the guard gate can arrange a taxi. In addition, the local bus system is great and there is a bus stop right on the main street out side the guard gate. The community has a beautiful pool with a giant palapa for hosting barbecues poolside. The pool is heated which you wouldn't think is necessary here in Mexico but it actually cools down at night. Because this community has boat slips, we have friends that own a variety of boats. So for the price of covering expenses, you can go out on a privately owned boat to go fishing or whale watching instead of on a tour boat.
