We (two couples) had a wonderful time in this little house with a lake view. Across the lake are the beautiful Smoky Mountains. The house was clean and had a well-equipped kitchen, which is important, since we love to cook and eat. We had a Trivial Pursuit marathon on the screened porch, and while sitting there, we visited with neighbors who walked by. Our dealings with Cammie were more like staying at the house of a friend than a business arrangement. We did a little exploring around Hayesville and found a shop with everything from clothes to chickens! The Ingles nearby was one of the largest I've seen. We would definitely recommend this place to others.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

We found this gem and fell in love with Hayesville. Chatuge is an awesome, deepwater lake. Boat traffic is minimal, weekdays are empty!
