This beautiful location was spoiled by the filthy accomodations. Stove has not been cleaned in a long time and the refrigerater had evidence of food stains from the previous tenant. The general overall cleanliness was not acceptable and I will not return.Owner response: Joe, thanks so much for letting us know about this situation. We are really sorry that you found the property in this condition and have taken immediate steps to correct this and are appreciative of you taking the time to share this with us. Thanks again. Cliff.

We booked this house for a family gettaway and were very happy overall. There was plenty of space and the views of the lake were beautiful. The back deck overlooked the cove and was a great gathering spot for the entire family. We had reserved the pontoon, however due to mechanical problems, we were unable to use it. However, our money was returned for the rental cost. I was a bit disappointed in the kitchen supplies. There was no blender and the ice maker in the frig did not work. Overall the house was clean, however we did have a lot of cobb webs in the corners of the ceilings and underneath the kitchen cabinets. I would suggest the owners check behind the cleaning service, I don't think they are getting their money's worth. I would consider renting this house again and would discuss the listed issues prior to rental.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Angela, we really appreciate the feedback and we do have the boat repaired and have made several kitchen upgrades especially on supplies and have the ice maker repaired. We have also taken several steps to do a much more thorough cleaning in between renters. Thanks again for taking the time. Cliff.

Our stay was great. Great house, beautiful neighborhood. Pontoon boat rental was a lot of fun and a fraction of the price charged at local marinas. Definitely would rent this house again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Mike, thanks so much for taking the time to tell us about your stay, we really appreciate it!

I booked this cabin on the Lake with Cliff as a get away for the entire family after one of the sons wedding. What a pleasure it was all around. I have rented many properties throught this site and found this one to be so much more than all that! Cliff, from the first correspondence, until the thanks on departure, was warm and very accomodating, not like some of the management companies I have dealt with in the past. Now for the house! I am an avid log home enthusiast and found an incredible bond with it's rustic charm from road as we were pulling in. I had 2 adult children and their spouses, and 4 children and one toddler, as well as wendy and myself. The front door opens up into an incredibly spacious home, that gave each of us our own space, and a very spacious family room to sit back and strum the guitar and have some sing along! The back porch was the perfect place for the cooler and even more guitar and late night chatter. I am the Mr Brady of a modern day Brady bunch, and must say, that watching all of our children (9-27) enjoy the cabin and all that it had to offer was worth the trip. I have family in that area, and they all came out to visit, and enjoy it as well. We left this amazing vacation with a million memories. As all vacations go, we packed as much into this week that we could. There is more shopping than you can do in a week, more restaraunts than you can eat at, and more activities than you can keep up with. The Pit in Mooresville(indoor go-carts, laser tag, putt-putt, and arcade) was a must try. If I may make only one suggestion, a journal type of book, for guests to sign into and share some of their experiences there would be a great tool. For you as the owner, and for the next guest to get some ideas to help with their stay. Cliff, on behalf of my entire family, and the ones that live there and didn't want to leave, Thanks for making your property available to us. Oh, one more thing, the lake! WOW! Get the boat, it is well worth the money to take a leisurely boat ride and dream about some of the real estate that you would otherwise not get to see. Tubing with the kids was absolutely priceless, and getting momma on the jet ski was another one of the many things that made the trip the memorable one that it was.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Brian, thanks so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to write this great review. I really appreciate it and look forward to hearing from you again! Cliff.

We wanted to have a long weekend for a 'mini' family reunion, and in searching for properties in the Lake Norman area, which was the most centrally located area for us, we came upon this property. We immediately fell in love with the porch overlooking the cove, with a line of rocking chairs just waiting for us. Our experience lived up to expectation! The house was beautiful, rustic, very clean and large enough that 5 adults and 3 children had plenty of room without getting in each other's way. We also rented the pontoon, which provided hours of entertainment and gave us the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful real estate in the area as well. We were close enough to shopping and nice restaurants that we could go out as we chose, and even found a gym close by for the fitness guru in the family. Our teenage grandson informed us the first day that we would definitely have to do that again! We would highly recommend the property to friends and family, and look forward to visiting again ourselves in the future.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Cheryl, thanks so much for your kind words and for choosing to stay with us on the lake. We really appreciate the way you left the property in great shape! Look forward to hearing from you soon!
