Cisco cottage description
Cute cottage attached to main house. Skylight over kitchen, exposed beam ceiling. Location is one mile to Cisco Beach, the best surf beach on the Island. Cottage is next to a fish market, a quarter mile from the Island's only brewery/winery, and one mile from one of the last working farms on the Island, so one can be comfortable without the bustle of Town. Nantucket Town, with spectacular restaurants, a whaling museum and boutique shopping on cobblestone streets, is about 2 miles away. The cottage is on the bike path, and the NRTA bus stop is 1/2 mile away. There is off street parking if you bring a car, but a car isn't necessary. There are free ranging hens in the back yard, ask the owner and you'll have fresh eggs for breakfast. In the back are miles of conservation trails for peaceful walks.
The cottage has a full bath with shower. One bedroom with full bed. In the living area is a full sleeper sofa so the cottage can accommodate 4. Kitchen has gas stove and oven, fridge with ice maker and all utensils.

This is a wonderful place to stay on the island of Nantucket. Highly recommended. The pictures do not do justice to the comforting beauty of the cottage and grounds. My son (age 7) and I spent a week here and had an amazing time. The cottage is located on a small organic farm with goats, chickens, and ducks plus a very sweet and loving dog, Sophie. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore and places to sit and just be. Great with/for kids! Easy to get to town by bus or bike with a fish market, local brewery, and large organic farm around the corner - all within easy walking/biking distance. The hospitality was also exceptional. We felt very much at home and 'part of the family.' Thank you to Beth and all!

I loved my stay on hummockpond Road! Great location half way between downtown and Cisco Beach. Next door to a fantastic local fish market , five minutes walk from Bartlett Farm, in a peacefull surroundings! The owner and employees were there when needed, otherwise very discreet. The cottage itself was spotless and more than welcoming! Charming place to relax and connect with nature.Exceptional !!!!! Rare nowadays to find authentic Nantucket style !!!Cozy, simple and convivial! On the Island you find all sportive activities, great golf and fantastiic bike trails! Too many great restaurants, exquisite shopping and amazing gardens everywhere! Reading on a hazy day on the beach or strolling on the town narrow street, Nantucket has more than what you could expect for a great vacation!

Cisco Farm Cottage
Cisco Farm Cottage
First off, we loved Nantucket. Can't wait to return. The owner was very approachable but never hovering over us. We were offered veggies and eggs from her farm and they were outstanding. The cottage is very spacious for two and wouldn't be cramped with four. Very comfortable double bed and plenty of room for your clothes. Two closets and plenty of drawers. The living area is very spacious and comfy. The bathroom is compact but not cramped and the shower stall with its stone feel base feels incredible on your feet. It's like a foot massage! In fact, we are doing a bath remodel in our home and I want to incorporate this feature in our shower. The kitchen was very workable and a great place for meals or morning coffee. There is a fish market right next door with a great selection of fish and meats. The Cisco brewery is nearby and not to be missed. We would absolutely stay here again!

About the owner: I'm a psychologist who is an avid organic vegetable gardener. I occasionally host 'WWOOF' (World Wide Opportunities in Organic Farming) volunteers from all over the globe, to assist with my extensive gardens in the back. I practice Qigong. I have hens, goats, pigs and ducks and a goldendoodle named Sophie.
Why the Owner Chose Cisco:
This property sits on the remnants of a farm, last farmed a generation ago. The owner is interested in the local food movement and organic gardening, and this property is a great location to carry out those interests.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
This area is particularly pastoral with one of the last working farms on Nantucket very nearby. Behind the cottage is my 'farmlet' with extensive gardens and the animals. If you enjoy this sort of environment, this property is unique, but it is also quite close to Town.
