  My husband, 2 small children and I spent a wonderful 5 days at Swell Time. The whole experience, our first through VRBO, could not have gone any better. We loved Folly Beach, and the condo was perfect for us. Charlotte responded quickly, and was very helpful for us. We have already recommended staying there to friends. The beautiful deck overlooks the pool (which is not heated) and hot tub. The beach is just steps away, and there were not many people on it. A great place for a beach vacation.

  Charlotte and Boyd, Charlie and I had a fabulous weekend at "Swell Time". What a beautiful condo you have and such a great location!! We decided to stay local the first night and tried the Crab Shack there on Folly. It was really good and a fun spot. Got some shopping in at the outlet Friday before heading to a spectacular anniversary dinner at the Charleston Grill downtown. Folly was hopping on Saturday for St. Patricks Day. We rode bikes, walked on the beach and Charlie even got a little fishing in at the pier; although, we didn't stay long enough to catch anything, Patience is not a virtue, unfortunately. The weather couldn't have been better!! We had a wonderful time and appreciate your generosity and hospitality. Thank you too for the nice note and bottle of wine. It was a special touch!! We definitely can't wait to return!! Thanks again!! Kitsy

  We really enjoyed our stay at Swell Time. Six of us fit comfortably, and we especially enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, restaurants and shops at Folly. I did not even have to drive my car the whole visit! The condo was very clean and well decorated.   I really enjoyed my stay at this condo. The unit is clean and comfortable, and all of the appliances worked as intended. There was plenty of hot water. My private bath was very handy. And the elevators were a big help. The beach is right across the street (a small 2-lane road with little traffic). There are local restaurants really close---within walking distance---like the Lost Dog Cafe. Getting to Charleston couldn't be easier, we got there in 10 or 12 minutes. There is so much to do there, you should plan on going back for at least 3 or 4 days. Even then, you might not get to see everything. And, with the beach nearby, you can mix it up a bit, spend a day at the beach, then head back to Charleston the next day. I had heard that Charleston is a polite city. That is true; other drivers are courteous, and they let me pull out without any hassle. Since the property is in fine condition, and all the sights are close by---I will definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

  We stayed at Swell Time for a girls' weekend and we couldn't be happier with the rental. It is conveniently located right across the street from the beach. The unit is really cute and very comfortably accommodated 6 women. The owner is very friendly and responsive. We would definitely stay at Swell Time again. Thanks Charlotte!

  We enjoyed a long weekend at Swell Time. Everything was perfect, starting with assigned, covered parking, easy access to the condo, spacious bedrooms for privacy, and nice sized living area and kitchen for group activities. I thought the condo was better than its description and photos. The location is perfect for beach lovers, pier fishermen, and shoppers. Once parked, we did not use the cars again until we left Folly Beach. We enjoyed morning coffee and "people watching" on the balcony. The beach was a short walk across the street. Restaurants and shops were close to the back exit. So close, we ate out every meal at a different restaurant. Owners provided timely information via email and telephone. They wanted to assure we had a perfect time. Even the weather was perfect! I highly recommend Folly Beach and Swell Time.

  The condo was a perfect size, for myself, my wife, my parents and two young children. The distance to the beach was a plus, and the pool was a great spot to end the day at. The condo location was central to the town of Folly Beach, meaning we could easily walk to dinner, and except for a couple of trips to Piggly Wiggly and one into Charleston, we didn't need to get in the car all week which was great. I'd recommend this condo for those with 2-3 kids under 12.

  My husband and I took our 3 kids to Folly and could not have been more pleased with our selection in accomodations. Charlotte is extremely easy to reach and always quick to respond to any questions you may have. She and her husband have a beautifully decorated and well maintained condo. They have thought of everything (linens are included but also there are beach toys available and a tub of toys for kids to use). There are board games and books to read (I always like a good read for the beach). Charleston is about a 20 minute drive away, and there is plenty to see there. However it was very refreshing to return to Folly after a day in Charleston. I was so sad to see our vacation come to a close as the life on Folly is relaxed. You can walk to everything and the food choices are delicious, fresh, and often locally sourced. There are numerous options available for vegetarians (particularly important to me). I cannot wait until we have an opportunity to visit again. Charlotte and Boyd keep up the good work!

  Very enjoyable stay. Excellent Beach access. Folly is a great beach for all ages. A very nice feature is the assigned parking under the unit: you park when you arrive with no need to use the car until you leave. Beach, eating places, shoppes, all within walking distance. You are in the heart of the beach.
