- Minimum stay:3 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Special offer: June 50% off regular rates and 15% off July and August! Details
This oceanfront home boasts a private beach and mooring and an outdoor pizza oven that overlooks the bay & islands. Have a brush in with a local shopping legend and come spend a few days in a house featured in the Spring 2011 LL Bean Home Catalog! ! ! Breathtaking sunrises abound for the early birds. Or for the night owls, the moon rises are nothing short of spectacular as the moonbeams dance upon the sea or search for your favorite constellations amidst the milky way above.
Just a 5 minute drive to Wolf Neck Farm and all of its activities, a 10 minute paddle to the delicious Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster or a 15 minute walk to Wolf Neck Woods State Park, any adventure is just minutes away. Freeport Village is just 5 miles with 100's of outlet stores.
Come stay at an idyllic private neighborhood on the beautiful coast of Maine. The property is located on the southern tip of Wolf's Neck in Freeport, Maine. Only 5 miles from Freeport Village, home of LL Bean and 100+ outlet stores including Ralph Lauren, Cole Haan, Thomas Mosher and The Gap. Restaurants range from pubs to chowder houses to exquisite dining at such places as the Harraseeket Inn. For a little more excitement, Portland, Maine is half an hour away with its happenin' historic Old Port, Merrill Auditorium, AHL Hockey, AAA Baseball and a plethora of great eateries from local brew pubs to fine dining and everything in between.
On the premises, a wood-fired pizza oven faces the ocean and is the focal point for many a memorable summer's eve. Children and adults alike can be their own chefs and enjoy food, family and beautiful Maine sunsets over Casco Bay. Enjoy the beauty and convenience of being pretty much dead center of mainland Casco Bay; you are looking right at Eagle Island w/ the recently renovated Admiral Peary's island residence (a great day trip by boat) and Halfway Rock Lighthouse (halfway point of Casco Bay) just to Southwest of that. A must stop on the way back would be to Dolphin Cove Marina & Restaurant for arguably the best bowl of Lobster or Fish Chowder in the world. If you want to drive less than an hour for a day trip to the southwest is the long, sandy beaches of Old Orchard, Ferry, Crescent, Scarborough or Higgins Beach or the exquisite Popham Beach and and nearby historical forts less than an hour to the Northeast.
Activities on-site include:
- stairs to a private beach
- a mooring for your boat
- kayaks to explore the Harraseeket River estuary and the islands of Casco Bay
- Biking, hiking and large grass area for the kids to enjoy.
Other off-site activities include: (but definitely not limited to):
The Maine Mall - South Portland,
Portland Museum of Art - Portland,
The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens - Boothbay,
Children's Museum of Maine - Portland,
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park - Bristol,
Reid State Park - Georgetown,

When you look at the pictures posted...You might be thinking...It's too good to be true! This home is FANTASTIC! It easily swallowed up my family(wife,2 kids), my brothers family(wife,2 kids), as well as my parents. The kids played, swam and fished right out the back along the shore. NOTE: The Stripers seemed to bite more at low tide(caught 4). We enjoyed using the two supplied kayaks to explore the area. Miles of walking trails were explored as well. Though it feels remote...town is just 10min away. There was a fun cafe called "The Fresh Batch" with everything from burgers to italian gelato...all real good! This home was easy to relax in and enjoy.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

We had a wonderful Family "reunion" with all the siblings and grandchildren gathering together. Gorgeous location! Remote enough to feel like nobody is around yet 10 minutes to Freeport. A perfect memory for all of us:)Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I recently stayed here with my family for a relaxing getaway. The house was absolutely amazing - I could not get over the architecture and design...I took pictures of all of the rooms - even that bathrooms - that's how unique it was. Plus there were so many nice touches like the kayaks, fireplace and especially the pizza oven! Frank was beyond friendly and wonderful to work with and everything in the house was in very good condition. The location was also great - right by the water but not far from Freeport. In Freeport I really liked Isabella's Sticky Buns - great pastries and excellent coffee. Overall the trip was great and I would not hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Guest Review from madsenhut@hotmail.com - Jun 17, 2010 "Gorgeous house and spectacular location. Perfect house for a family and children. Very comfortable and well equipped. We loved being close enough to Freeport, but in a private, wooded spot on the ocean. Absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to come back next year!Did you find this review helpful?
