The BEACH BARN is your personal retreat! 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths. Spacious, open floor plan. Main Living Level has Great Room, kitchen, dining area, bathroom/laundry room, and 2 bedrooms. Top floor is spacious Master Bedroom with King size bed and large sitting area with TV/VCR/DVD combo. Both levels open onto covered decks with beautiful view of ocean. Wireless Internet, flat screen TV's on main living level in living room and the 2 bedrooms.
Deck with covered porches and open decking for sunbathing. Porch swing on main living level deck with porch rockers. Large concrete area under house with picnic table and another porch swing, excellent for cookouts. Mounted stationary grill in yard.

Our family took a chance coming to Emerald Isle for the first time. We also usually stay in Oceanfront homes, but went ahead and booked the Beach Barn because of its amenities and website appeal. The owner was friendly and responsive through the booking process and upon arrival. We were surprised at how easy it was to walk to the beach even from a row back. Also, the home had not yet been cleaned when our family arrived, and the owner DEFINITELY made up for it by sending us to dinner on her dime while they cleaned. It was an honest mistake. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. We felt like we were alone on the beach every day, even though there were other families around. People of all ages could enjoy this home and beach location, as there are two first floor bedrooms and an upstairs master suite. We only had four people staying there but there was TONS of room! The house is close enough to a grocery store, shops and restaurants, as well as local seafood shops in order to make our own food at the house which we enjoyed doing most days. Our family is also active and enjoyed the safety of the bike paths and roads. The only flaw was that the first floor full bath is carpeted and includes the washer and drawer... it seemed like there was sort of a mildew smell that I suspect came from the carpet being wet so often... but you get used to it after a day or two :o) Definitely a good deal and great house!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing.

We're pleased that you also enjoyed the safety of the bike paths and roads for your bike riding. It is a perfect place to bike ride. As for the first floor bathroom, we will be remodeling the bathroom this fall to add new flooring and move the washer and dryer out of that room. Once again, we're glad you had a nice stay at the Beach Barn!

The owners where very accomadating the place was better than pictures on website very large decks with awesome views easy access to ocean only thing would recommend is portable grill & have the swings facing the ocean view-great place to have family & friends over for bbq would recommend to anyone interested thanks Katrina!!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers.
