Smuggler's Cove Spring Break/Spring Training getaway

Our stay at the Ft. Myers beach condo was excellent! The location was perfect, centrally located on the island for 2 options of travelling to events on the mainland. The area and beach was quiet compared to our trips north to the main shopping/entertainment district, very relaxing for travelling with a family! The unit was furnished and outfitted with all of the items we needed and the proximity to the Publix made daily small shopping trips very convenient. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone else!!

This condo turned out to be just as listed and just what we were looking for. Pictures did not do it justice, nicely decorated and with everything we needed. The condo and property was very clean and well kept. Good size for 2-4 adults. We enjoyed the tiki huts outside and the chairs provided. Located mid beach it was in close proximity to many shops and restaurants we went to. Nice pool area. We had terrific weather as well! Would book again for next year!!

Holiday Getaway

Stayed one week with family with older children. The view and beach area were beautiful. The heated pool a must in winter months due to weather not always the warmest. We used the chairs and BBQ area a lot. Condo in walking distance to grocery store and jet ski rentals. There were lots of families with children of all ages. Would recommend this rental to anyone, couples, families or friends for a wonderful getaway experience.

Thanks for providing us with a great condo and everything we needed for the week. The view from the balcony was amazing! We could hear the ocean at night, and the beds were very comfortable. There was quite a storm one day, which provided many different shells on the beach the next day. The pool was heated which was nice on the cloudy days. The grills were conveniently located next to the beach and all of the utensils provided were a big help. The best part about our trip was us getting engaged! Your condo felt like our home away from home. Thanks again! We will definitely be back if we are in the Ft Myers Beach area in the future.

Great, well maintained condo with beautiful view right on the beach. Liked the location-away from the hub-bub of Times Square but short drive if you do want to go. Great pool. Convenient parking. Cannot say enough about the staff! Very friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved the abundance of towels available to use!! The only things that were not quite perfect were, the build up of mildew on the bottom of shower door and track in the master bdrm ( little chunks and pieces would fall all over the floor when you opened the shower door) and the sliding glass door from lvg rm does not open easily, you need two hands to open it. Again, these are such minor things they are hardly worth mentioning. Steve you are an ideal owner who is concerned about the satisfaction of the renter and their stay. We truly appreciate it. We have rented in the past from some that were not so concerned and it turned a little nightmarish. Thank you SO much. If we ever return to Ft Myers Beach we will definitely rent from you again. Cute mezuzah case btw. :)

Desperate to go back

We stayed here 3 years ago & immediately began saving up for a return trip. The convenient location, beach, atmosphere, & the comfort of the condo itself are more than we could ever have hoped for. We love the new sectional! We grilled out almost every night. There is a seafood wholesaler on the mainland just over the bridge & a grocery store within walking distance. The kids enjoyed meeting new friends & playing with them on the beach. We recommended this condo to another family & they booked it for the week after we were there. For a truely relaxing vacation, you can't go wrong here!

Nice unit -- Average complex

Steve's unit is nice and clean. Found everything to be in nearly new condition and completely satisfactory. However, we experienced several problems with the complex and got to know the maintenance folks by name. The elevator went out whenever it rained. Unfortunately, for our family it rained every day while we were there. I actually got stuck IN the elevator. Internet service was also out on a daily basis. If you need to stay in touch with your office while you are away, this can be very trying. Found myself driving to nearby complex to bootleg their service from the parking lot. Our stay would have been much more pleasant without some of the issues and stress brought by the property management.

We had a wonderful time. The pictures are just how the condo looks. We saw beautiful sunsets and dolphins. Being right on the beach is just what we wanted . We could walk everywhere or take the trolley - which was fun too. The new appliances in the kitchen were nice. There was even a cooler to pack drinks and take to the pool or beach. Wonderful condo directly on beach. Grocery shopping walking distance. Beach is wonderful for walking, swimming, or just taking one of the provided beach chairs and relaxing by thr ocean. Barbeques are situated right beside the beach so you can cook and enjoy a glass of wine very comfortably, This area of Ft Myers beach is upscale and very peaceful. I will be back this year for sure.

Unit was clean and well maintained. beach and pool were wonderful, location excellent. Not too crowded easy access to variety of activities.Only enough detergent and toilet paper for three days Unit was over decorated. Too much stuff on walls detracted from location. Beds and bedding could use some updating, old and tired.

Fort Meyer Beach FUN!

The location of this condo is away from the big traffic, so it's easy in and out. Very close to Publix grocery. We took our bikes and road everywhere we wanted in just a short trip. 15 minute bike ride to see sunset at Times Square or just sit on the beach or lanai to see awesome views. Well appointed comfort, we enjoyed it very much, highly recommend.

Condo Perfection

I just got back from a wonderful stay at your condo in Smuggler's Cove. The Condo was immaculate and had all of the comforts of home. I traveled lightly and went to the beach and swimming pool every day and evening. It was a nice surprise that towels and lounge chairs were also included, along with all of the other necessities, to make my vacation a breeze. I especially liked the fact that the lanai faced the gulf and it was screened in. It was so relaxing to eat food there and not have to worry about bugs and mosquitoes. I also cooked out one day on the grills that are furnished for the guests at the condo. Fun! Eating in restaurants was also a blast. The Captain's Boat House. Carraba's in Bonita Springs. The Sand Bar. Too many to list. I tried a different restaurant for every meal eaten out. I would definitely recommend your condo to friends and relatives. Thanks for being so attentive to detail. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Smuggler's Cove again in the future. Thank you for a fantastic vacation.

Beach Retreat

Wonderful condo in a great location. We spent our school vacation break enjoying in the beach front location. We have 2 high school aged kids, who enjoyed having a second bedroom and the freedom to go back and forth to the beach any time. We had no traffic issues, which we hear can be more of a challenge during high season. We had a few rainy days and appreciated the board games that you have tucked away - and also went to Publix and rented movies. The TV's are great - and enough so that everyone can watch what they want! We rented bikes in Sanibel - an easy, flat ride and very reasonable. Mini golf was a bit expensive at $10 per person, but fun at Jungle Golf. Condo was well appointed and had everything we needed. Sun Harvest (where you buy oranges and grapefruit) has great $2 soft serve ice cream - a best buy! We are sailors so we rented a hobie cat in Bonita Springs Beach at Doc's. The wind is strong in the afternoon and we had a great ride. Lots to do in the area - and hanging out at the condo walking the beach in the morning is great - and we saw porpoises from the screened in patio too! Thanks for a great week! I would highly recommend to friends and family!

Spring Break

We just spent our third consectutive spring break in Steve's condo. The updates (new flat screen tv's, new counter tops in kitchen and bath, lighting, front and screen door) were great. The property is quiet and well maintained including the laundry area, gas grills, pool and shuffleboard, and stairwells. The screened in porch is the best for early morning dolphin-watching with a cup of coffee or watching a fabulous sunset and card games in the evenings. The beach is relaxing and beautiful and the location is perfect. We will be back again the same week next year!

We stayed here in March 2009 with two adults and two college students. It was a convenient location on a beautiful section of beach, away from the noisy and congested "Times Square" area of Fort Myers Beach. Condo was nicely equipped, clean, and well maintained. We especially liked the patio and master bedroom overlooking the Gulf for ocean views and sounds. Shuffleboard was also a fun outdoor activity. We would stay here again if we have occasion to visit Fort Myers Beach. Two area restaurants that we recommend are The Boat House (more casual) and South Beach Grille (wonderful seafood and other entrees), both a little bit south of Smuggler's Cove condos.

Steve, we loved your place. It was so well-kept and well-equipped we felt at home right away. Also, what a breath-taking view of the sunset! We had dinner on the balcony almost every evening. The whole condo was very well maintained too. We used to stay near the Time Square, but this location is so much better. Convenient (we walked to Publix the grocery store) but peaceful. Great condo and a perfect location. Very quiet and family friendly. Your condo was exactly as described on your web site. It had everything you could possibly need and was very clean and in working order. Smugglers Cove was actually better than expected as for all the available chairs and loungers readily available and the pool looked beautiful. My last trip to Cancun, you had to wake up early to put your claim to chairs before they were all taken. We lucked out and even seen the space shuttle launch looking east from your front walkway. Will definitely keep you in mind when we return to Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. Thanks again.

We loved everything about our vacation!! The condo was comfortable and well-equipped. We watched the dolphins every morning while we enjoyed our coffee on the porch. Smuggler's Cove is meticulously maintained. The kids loved the shuffleboard and the beach. The location on the island is perfect! A great vacation with perfect weather. We will definitely be back!
