    Just retunred from the Villa Maximilliano after an unforgettable stay at this palace. Me and four lifelong friends decided to spend our anual boys trip at this superb villa. We have been going away for over 20 years staying in villas and this ranks at the very top of the list. Paul met us on arrival and had kindly arranged for our groceries to be delivered to the villa which was a brilliant idea. We enjoyed a fantastic Thai meal cooked for us and visited other resteraunts recommended and booked by Paul. Many thanks Max & Paul for the privellige of staying in your villa.     What a fabulous villa designed perfectly. With every need catered too. Large enough for two families to have seperate living areas. Which made for a fun and comfortable holiday. Outstanding catering by noelle@delifreshgo.com which I highly recommend. The whole family has come away with great memory's and we cant wait to go back.

    Dane Bank House Dental Practice in Crewe celebrated 21 years this year- 2011 and 8 staff were treated to a holiday away by the Principal Dentist. The Villa is ideally positioned and the living areas are so extensive that it easily accomodated us all. The pool area is fabulous and we spent many a happy day relaxing around it, in between swimming and drinking glasses of cold beer and wine! The views were outstanding and the surrounding area peaceful. We soon discovered that we had a 10th member to our party, a local cat called 'Lola', such a beautiful well natured cat. It was hard not to fall for her charm. When shopping for provisions, we recommend you buy some cat food or you'll find yourself feeding her your cooked meats instead! As well as dining in we also dined out in La Cala de Mijas and Fuengirola. We also discovered a cafe linked to a supermarket about a 15 minute walk away at La Cala Hills and we can recommend their 'All Day Breakfast', they even offer free delivery to the Villa so those of us not up to the walk had there's delivered and enjoyed it by the pool. A car is essential to get out and about, otherwise it is easy enough to hire a taxi at 20 Euros to La Cala de Mijas and 14 Euros to Fuengirola. If you can fit in around it's times, there is a minibus from La Cala Hills to Fuengirola for 1 Euro return.

    A group of 10 friends (5 families) have rented this villa from 17 to 24 of September. Everyone arrived at different time and the place was generally in good shape when we came in. The positives include great location, awesome views. easy access to the highways leading to all sorts of points of interest, close proximity to the beach areas and shopping. The villa is secluded and there are no extraneous noises coming in during the day or at night. However there were are few negatives as well: the four bedrooms are very spacious but the fifth bedroom is a joke - small, cramped and stuffy, even despite of having its own small balcony. There are no screens on the doors so you cannot leave it open at night and the air gets very stale. So if you are staying there that room would work for kids but not adults.The cleanliness of the rooms when we arrived was a OK, but we had to re-clean the bathrooms - those were just dirty. You could see that the place was cleaned but not thoroughly. The furnishings are generally OK but the mattresses and pillows were simply atrocious! If you have a bad back - beware. Also not sure what was the dealwith towels; not sure if they ever heard of fabric softener because those things could get your skin off, like a sand paper. Also there were three towels per room, that's all! There was an offer for a private chef that we took advantage of for two nights. I would highly not recommend it! The setting was great: plates, napkins etc but the food was horrible. Our paella was undercooked and not really edible. The second night we selected a BBQ dinner thinking that it would be hard to spoil but they managed. No one complained, we were happy to see each other, the company was great, the conversation was flowing but would never order that again. Despite all this little inconveniences, the vacation was great, and the place, when properly prepared, cleaned and the bedding is improved, could rival a 4-star hotel. Would recommend it to friends if they can negotiate the aforementioned improvements upfront.

    Owner response: Thanks for the review. The smaller bedroom on the first floor has fantastic views from the balcony and is still 300sq ft. Every bedroom is onsuite. It is great for someone who wants to be seperated from the entertainment area for a bit of tranquility. It can be a bit boisterous if your fellow guests are using the bar and the pool table. But hey your on your holidays!!! Every room has an electric blackout and security shutter. It really doesnt make any sense to have the windows open and the A/C on full. You obviously had the smaller room ! Guests are provided with a hand towel and Bath towel for use in the villa and a slip mat per room. Pool/Beach towels should be brought by clients as advised The Chefs have done a fantastic job this year and I had the pleasure of having the Thai menu myself during my stay. The proof of the pudding was that we had a Thai guest who loved it. Somewhat bemused that you had them twice if you didn`t like it. You are the first guests in 4 years to be slightly negative on anything and the fact that you have given it a four star rating and would recomend it says a lot. I know that Julia and Paul put a lot of effort into making sure you had everything you needed to make your stay extremely enjoyable and the large tip you left them was not necessary, but very kind and much appreciated.     What a Villa!!! Everything written in its description TRUE. 10 of us have just had a marvellous weeks break of just eating, soaking up the sun and eating at some of the best restaurants ever. Paul and Julia were on hand (or at the end of a phone) to ensure we had a great time. Thanks Julia for booking Valparaiso Restaurant for the Flamenco Dancing and Oceanos for a great evening of dining and dancing. The Villa is really spectacular, if you play golf which some our crowd does and did, it overlooks the 13th Green. Consequently our players had their own supporters gallery. The overall views are really stunning. The pool area had plenty of loungers for our party of ten and though it was mid september the pool was heated to take the chill off when first getting into it. How indulgent is that!! For indoor leisure the pool table area was great especially as we had our own bar - stocked to our own preferences. The living areas were great and all the bedrooms were enormous. Plenty of room to get lost if anyone wanted to get away for a few quite moments. Our friends said it was a great week and we should have stayed longer. Next year - we will certainly be back, if we can manage it will be sooner than later. Thanks also for arranging the ouside caterers who came in and cooked us a truly memorable Thai meal.

    this must be a first, my name is graham emsley and me and my family have stayed at this villa for the last 2 years,we thought we would try somewhere near marbella to be different,big mistake the supposedly 5star 5 bedroom villa was a joke and not a pleasant stay at all.my wife now says the only time she will go away is if we stay at this villa.we had the best two holidays ever here,we expect luxury like home when we holiday abroad and this villa has it in abundance.as my first line of comment this must be a first when you get praise from a family not to have stayed at your villa but wished we had.see you next year max and paul, regards graham

    My 7 friends and myself have just returned from our best week away, we have been going away for the last 3 years and this holiday was the best. The villa was exactly how the photos show it, Paul and Julia couldnt do enough to help. they arranged massages, resturants and even a chef to come in and cook for us. i would highly recommend this villa to everyone fantastic. Cant wait for next year..... Max and his villa managers were very professional in everything to do with our booking..

    What a great week, superb accommodation with great views, the weather was great too. The owners have a good management team in Paul & Julie, they made it all very easy for us. A superb location within easy reach of Malaga, the golf courses, beaches & night life. We will definitely be back next year.

    We stayed here for the second year running and as before it was the perfect holiday with all the trimmings! On our arrival we had Paul who takes care of everything you'll need to know in reguards to the Villa along with the perfect info on meals or nights out. In addition we also had his lovely wife Julia who had great tips on girlie spots ie, nail bars and local Spa Salons. There were two families with three kids between us and one additional couple who came for the last few days and even with 6 adults and 3kids there was easily room for more!! You can't beat arriving to your hotel with well stocked fridged and cupboards and thats exactly how it felt getting to the villa. With the kids this was a godsend as within 5 mins they were already in pool with no chance of immediate shopping being done. The policy of replace what you use is perfect!!!! As you can see from the photos the villa is breathtaking and anything from me wouldn't match up to your stay!! A car is good if you need to be out and about but as a family looking for a relaxing getaway one large food shop and you wouldn't need to leave!!!! We'll hopefully be back next year and thanks to max once again for your wonderful no hassle or stress service.

    We had a fantastic time and thought the villa was great. There were 3 families over a period of 2 weeks and due to the space and lots of reception rooms we never felt on top of eachother. The swimming pool was wonderful and the steps into the pool made it easier for young children. My husband is planning on using the villa for client entertainment as he was so impressed with it. We hope to book again next summer.

    Amazing Villa, fantastic views and a heated pool! Very helpful customer service guide for everything (he organised a game of golf and found us 2 out the way restaurants) Better than any 5* hotel. Shared it with another family and 3 kids in total, so much space we had a floor each!!! Will be back next

    Loved the villa and its serenity. Woke up each morning to a stunning view and loved watching the sun set in the evening. Was funny watching people playing golf on the 13th hole. Very large and had everything you could wish for. The pool was heated which was perfect at this time of year. Hotel was 8 mins walk which served the best food. I went with a few friends and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as we had a mix of hedonism at the bars and then complete relaxation at the villa. I am going to recommend my sister and her family goes there next year. I am def. going back Thanks a million Max you are a star and Paul was the greatest as he looked after everything for us and nothing was to much trouble for him. A valuable asset andy

    This place is amazing! The word Villa does not do it justice. If you are looking for the "Wow" factor then this is the one for you. We had such a lovely holiday living the high life, just a shame it had to come to an end. Watching the sun go down over the mountains with a cold beer in hand is something we all got rather used to. The fridge was stocked with essentials on arrival and the staff were extremely helpful, showing us how to use the sound system. A docking station for your ipod is not necessary as you simply plug your ipod in downstairs and then switch on the control panel in the room of your choice and have your music played out at the highest quality. This even works outside by the pool! We are already planning our next trip for next year and would just like to thank Max and all of his staff for helping us to have a memorable holiday. See you all soon

    well where do i start,upon opening the door to this wonderful villa we knew immediatly that we had chosen wisely.the decor and space of the villa was astounding especialy the view from all rooms.everything you could wish for is here the games room, lounge area, swimming pool and patio area.getting up in the morning and relaxing on terrace looking at the views over golf course and mountains will stay with us forever.thank you max for all your assistance and the proffesional way you look after your guests.we will definately be back.regards graham.

    Date of stay July 09 Just arrived back after a week long stay but wish it had been two. We were three families,eleven people in total, ranging from age 3-50 and due to the spacious well laid out villa there was more than enough room and privacy for everyone. The decor was beautiful, the scenery breathtaking and the pool was fantastic.Kerry met us at the airport and guided us to the villa which was a great help and was only a phone call away if we needed anything.Best holiday we have ever had.

    me and my family stayed at the lovely villa for 8 days, we all didnt want to leave. everything we needed or cared for was available, it was just a phone call away, the villa is stunning, very well decorated, furnishings fantastic, the bar and pool table came in handy while the girls got ready ! the pool was big enough for everyone and the kids loved it, it was heated and was cleaned every other day. would recommend the villa for anyone who wants a luxury stay in this lovely part of the costa del sol, you need a car and can get anywhere you want ie, port and marbella in 25 mins. a very enjoyable stay.

    We have just returned from the most amazing two week holiday EVER! We opted to marry in Spain as both our parents live there and of course this was the highlight, BUT it has to be said that the stay at the villa was the icing on the proverbial cake! We opted to invite our brother and sister-in-law with their 3 year old to stay with us for a week as company for our son and it would have been possible (should we have wanted to) to have completely separate evenings due to the very well thought out layout. The two almost separate living quarters gave privacy that was not expected. The evenings were filled with cooking, music and wine whilst our little ones slept their hearts out (something to do with the Spanish air or tranquil environment, we think)... Breathtaking views, stunning accommodation and so spacious that returning home felt like returning to a broom closet. We truly had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. If you are considering Villa Maximilliano, but are still undecided, we hope that our heartfelt praise and recommendation will sway you in the right direction.

    We have stayed for a week in the villa and it was even better then imagined! The villa was very clean and the people were all very nice and helpful, just one phone call away. We liked the idea that there was a stocked kitchen so we could relax a little and do shopping at a later moment. It is true that the owner wants his guests to have a wonderful vacation without any worries! The villa is very spacious and well equipped with luxury. I would recommend the villa to everybody!!!! And I would like to say thanks to the owner and his staff for our wonderful vacation. Thanks.

    Have just come back from a week there – 9 of us including my son, daughter in law and 2 teenage daughters. They loved the privacy of the 2 bedroom suite at the top. Also with my daughter, son in law and their two little ones, so the three bedrooms downstairs were great for them and granny. So much room for us to be together and also to spread out. Certainly one of the best villas we have ever stayed in, with so much space and beautifully equipped. So nice to find all the little extras in the kitchen and the laid back attitude of ‘use whatever you like, but just replace it, if possible’ It was so obvious that Max, the owner wanted all his guests to enjoy their stay and go away with the best memories ever. If you’re looking for the best, this is it. Can’t wait to return when the pool will be heated in the autumn.

    Spent a week at the villa at the beginning of March 09. There were ten of us and we had an excellent time. There was so much space that we could enjoy the whole of our company or have time on your own if you wanted. The Villa was excellently equiped for our every need, with quiet scenic views over the golf course and watching the sunset, with a glass of your favourite tipple, on the terrace. WE made good use of the bar and pool table, and would recommend this villa to anyone that likes to holiday with family or friends

    We spent a week there recently, there were 5 couples sharing, and we had so much room it was unbelievable. The property itself and the décor is fabulous. Superbly furnished and equipped, we wanted for nothing, a truly outstanding villa. This is undoubtedly the best accommodation we've ever stayed in. Once the pool is heated this property will have all year long attraction no one could ask for more. . Your own transport is totally necessary though as it is situated well inside this magnificent golf complex, but still within an easy drive of all the attractions of the Costa. This property was worth every penny and more of what we paid, and we will find it impossible to match if we choose somewhere different to go next year

    We could not believe the wonderful views over the 13th hole of the golf course and breath taking views of the mountains beyond. The villa was beautiful, marble floors, own swimming pool and so much more. It is great that it has its own games room with pool table and a cosy purpose built bar. We visited the Hotel Byblos where David Beckham and such stars have stayed but when you compare the cost and facilities this villa offers excellent value and to our minds better quality furnishing. The place has a real homely feel to it and the only minus point is that you have to have a car to get anywhere. We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa in fact we are planning to go back and use the place for an old friends reunion, really it is like a boutique hotel only offering better value.
