Two bedrooms with queen size bed, beautiful propane stove, and sliding glass doors to deck. Lie in bed and watch the sun come up over the mountains. You may see deer, fox, eagles, hawks or wild turkeys as well!

Property is located approximately 1 1/2 hours from New York City, and about 1 1/4 hour from Hartford, Berkshires, Tanglewood.
Close by are beautiful parks : Mohawk Mtn 30 mins., White Memorial State Park 25 mins.( canoe here early in the day to see the beavers!), Kent Falls State Park 20 mins, Mt. Tom State Park 20 mins., Appalachian Trail 12 mins. , Bulls Bridge Falls, 12 mins.
10 minutes from New Preston and Lake Waramaug.
Raft, kayak, or canoe the Housatonic River or the mighty Shepaug River!

We recently spent a wonderful 3 days staying in this beautiful property near Candlewood lake. The house is extremely accurately represented by the photos on the web site, is located high on a hill side with gorgeous views which you can make the most of as one side of the house is almost entirely comprised of windows, breathtaking! The house has everything you need (including the opportunity to have a reflexology session which my husband did and loved!) and we comfortably slept 9 (adult and older teens). On the deck overlooking the woods, we were able to both cook out then unwind in the hot tub, bliss. We have a boat moored on Candlewood lake which was a convenient 20mins from the property but we also had a great morning exploring Bulls falls. I really have only the highest recommendation for both the property and the helpfulness of the owners.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

The renters agree to pay the Landlord the sum of _________ for the use of the above address for the time period of ( arrival) _____, until the (departure) of _________In addition, an $89 insurance fee ( available at VRBO.COM, property #406316), a $500.00 refundable Damage/Security Deposit ( refundable within 14 days after departure) and a $150.00 cleaning fee. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is due upon signing of this contract. The full amount ( including security deposit and cleaning fee) due 60 days prior to arrival, unless otherwise stated in this contract. If full amount and signed contract are not received, renters will forfeit their deposit, and booking. Why the Owner Chose New Milford:
This 7 1/2 acre property is on a designated Scenic Road, with many summer/ vacation homes around. We are at the top of the mountain with no homes in view! There is a walking trail on the property, and a trail to a rock ledge, and a tall pine forest where eagles nest!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
If you stay during the spring to fall months, you may hear and see the Eagles that live in the tall pine trees on our property! The spring flowers and the beautiful colors of the fall leaves are wonderful sights to enjoy. There is so much to see in the surrounding area, including rivers, waterfalls, mountains.
