This large (1200 square foot) apartment was built in 2004 and designed for visitor comfort. The two bedrooms offer several bed configurations. Each room has two extra-long twin beds that convert to a regular king-sized bed. Also, the comfortable living room sofa converts to a queen-sized sleeper. This allows flexibility for you: perhaps one time you'll want to bring your family, or another time a group of friends, or maybe sometime just yourself. Regardless, you'll find it welcoming and comfortable.

Sitka is beautiful year-round! The snow-capped mountains are even more pronounced in winter than summer. Since Sitka is located right on the Pacific Ocean, our climate stays fairly moderate all year long. In the winter, that means we rarely get very cold. As examples, November 1st averages a low of 38 and high of 47 degrees F; January and February 1st average 31 - 38 degrees F.
Let's not forget the migratory humpback whale! From September through December, you can watch these magnificent whales feed in Sitka Sound before they head south to their Hawaiian breeding grounds. So, come see what Sitka is like in winter, too!
