We are a retired couple. We were fortunate to stay on Maui for 5 weeks and this property was perfect for us. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures. It is very spacious, neat, clean with all the amenities you could ask for. The owner will go the extra step to make sure you are happy and comfortable. If you have questions regarding what to do in the area, just ask. If you want to know which restaurants are good, just ask. You should also explore the area to find new places; there are many things to do and explore. Up country is a very nice place to base your Maui stay. The nearby Pukalani Country Club is a beautiful, very affordable golf course with an excellent club house restaurant. Makawao, Haiku, Paia are very close by and have interesting places to shop and eat. The road to Hana is 10 minutes away. The Haleakala highway is a field away. You must go up to the crater. We recommend this property to anyone who doesn't want to live right on the beach, but can get to it in 15 minutes. It is a family oriented neighborhood with no through traffic. The view is better than the picture. Even though the ocean is five or six miles away, you can see the ocean and see the surf from the lanai and watch the weekly cruise ship come and go from Kahului. It is a very nice place to stay while visiting Maui.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you like a cooler climate ,great views,safety from Tsunamis, and great landlords, this is the place for you.We loved being away from all of the hustle and heat of the Kihei side. The lanai was perfect for unwinding after a day on the water, and afforded awesome views of the North Shore. The cooler climate makes it possible to don a fleece in the evening which is quite refreshing, but you can control the wind with the sliding enclosures on the lanai. The unit is very clean and recently remodelled. Since we were only the second renter, the kitchen was furnished quite sparsely. The owner was very obliging and quickly lent us some extra kitchen accessories . We added to the supplies and left a few extras. The owner lives upstairs but is very quiet as the sound proofing is very good. He has a wealth of knowledge about recreational activities on the North Shore and can point you in the direction of high quality rentals and good locations.Renting was a breeze as the contact person always answered our inquiries promptly. The location is close to the Pukalani pool, Golf course,shopping centre and a good launch for the upcountry area.You are near the Haleakala Highway , so we found we needed to sleep with ear plugs in the early morning when all of the traffic was heading up for the sunrise.Other than that time it was quite quiet, The neighbourhood is well kept and the people friendly when you are out for a walk. We are planning our next visit already .Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities.

Beautiful, spacious, well stocked vacation rental! Included everything we needed to live comfortably for the two nights we had to spend away from home. Love that it is located in Pukalani, very nice neighborhood. The veiw was spectacular, and the overall property had a secluded, private feel to it despite being a downstairs unit in a residential area. Would definitely recommend this rental to friends/family, and would consider staying here again in the future!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Originally from East coast of the United States, I have been a resident of Maui for 14 years. I moved to Maui after being offered a high level management position at a well know company in the surf industry. Although I was a little reluctant at first, moving to Maui has been one of the best decisions I ever made. I quickly discovered that the North Shore community is an amazing and diverse group of healthy, positive thinking people with a strong passion for the ocean.
