Spacious, especially compared to French hotels; great location; nicely furnished; good bed; gracious and helpful host. The Rue d'Italie has everything you need, and the Cours Mirabeau is right next door. Parking is a walk, and free parking is a challenge. Our host, Mahe, was very helpful. We ate almost all of our meals in the apartment, which was easy because it was well equipped and the Rue d'Italie had everything from bread and cheese to fruit, vegetables, meat and wine, and there was a farmer's market every day a short walk away. The street below the apartment is primarily pedestrian, but not quiet, especially after the bars close late at night; but the windows are well insulated if you choose to close them, and the bed is comfortable. A spacious apartment on a quiet street -very convenient for access on foot to everything in the old city. Though we often walked to the daily market, there is good shopping for groceries and speciality foods right on Rue d'Italie. Kitchen was well equipped -very good for cooking gourmet meals at the apartment. We came with a car, and found the underground parking at the end of the street was close, safe, and convenient for our day trips out of the city.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. Although it is in an older building, it has been completely renovated and is very stylishly decorated. The owners have thought of everything as far as making it very comfortable and including all equipment and supplies needed. We arrived after traveling for two weeks and staying in hotels, which were also nice but often very small, especially the bathrooms; that is definitely not the case with this apartment which is quite spacious. The owners are very responsive to any needs and came within an hour to help when we had a minor problem. The location is very convenient for everything in the historic center of Aix en Provence -- and you just have to walk out the front door and cross the street to obtain fresh bagettes in the morning -- absolutely delightful!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We stayed in this apartment for 1 week in August 2012. The three of us had a wonderful stay, and loved everything about the apartment. The location is wonderful, right on the Rue d'Italie which is a charming street with a fromagerie, boulangeries, and great wine store -- not to mention, seconds from the Cours Mirabeau! The apartment was spacious and well decorated. The kitchen is more than adequately equipped, and we were able to cook elaborate meals that we then ate at the great table in the apartment. The bed and pullout couch were comfortable, the bathroom was new and clean, and the wifi was very fast. While there is no AC, the building is cool and even in July we were very comfortable. Finally, Mahé was a wonderful host -- generous, helpful, friendly, and gracious. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in Aix!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

I spent one week in this city . it was wonderfull. The flat was what I excepted . Charming , and perfectly locatedRecommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
