  This house is absolutely perfect for a vacation. It is spacious, comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing vacation including a very large master suite with Jacuzzi tub. The house is privately located in the woods but it is close to a main road and is easy to find. Cell service is patchy but there is wifi in case you absolutely have to reach reality. :) The location was perfect, 15 minutes to Great Barrington which has shops, grocery stores, antiques, etc. Also there were dozens of hiking opportunities in the area, as well as winery/orchards, and it was a close trip to the Taconic or route 90 to go to distant areas if needed. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit the area! The owners were very pleasant and easy to work with. My entire experience couldn't have been better!

  We were thrilled by this rental. It's situated right in the middle of the woods and was the perfect place to get away. It was fully equipped and clean - an absolute joy to stay in. I'd recommend it for anyone wanting to find some solitude and a little luxury. The one disadvantage is - if you're looking for highspeed internet to work from - skype etc - this isn't the place.

  We had a great time. There was no cell service, which suited us just fine. Mostly stayed in and enjoyed our time together. Loved the screened in porch, perfect space for the kids to run around as the grown ups chatted.

  This striking home was a perfect retreat for our girls weekend. The house was beautiful and exceptionally clean and well-maintained. A wonderful breakfast nook, a lovely dining area farm table and a very well-appointed kitchen allowed us to enjoy meals day and night. The screened in porch was perfect for late afternoon reading and all of the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The giant bathtub and steam shower in the master bath were a wonderful way to relax after long hikes or shopping excursions into nearby Bershire towns. The location was a wonderful base camp for exploring Great Barrington, Lenox, Lee, Stockbridge and even Williamstown and North Adams. The location was also wonderfully peaceful and quiet. The owner was very responsive to calls and emails and provided us with a wonderful list of places to check out, including restuarants, theaters, etc. We highly recommend this home for your next stay in the Berkshires.

  We have a lovely time at this house nestled in the woods of Alford! We went as two couples and the house had more than enough space for the four of us. The screened in porch was absolutely lovely and we wish we were there to enjoy it more! There were plenty of pots, pans and dishes-- literally enough to serve a family of 12, twice. The master bath is absolutely lovely with the soaking tub. Lastly, working with Brooks was a pleasure. He made everything incredibly easy and was quick to reply to emails, especially considering we booked a week before! Quite a bargain for the area!

  We rented this place for a bunch of us to hang out during the weekend and we couldn't have asked for more. The house was very well kept, clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend.

  I found this house to be extremely comfortable and cozy, located in a nice wooded area of the Berkshires about 10 minutes from downtown Great Barrington. I've stayed here about 6 or 7 times over the past 2 years and each stay has been excellent. The house has an open and airy layout with many windows, breakfast nook and large master bath. There is plenty of room to accommodate many guests and the kitchen is in good working order. The property is kept clean and in good shape and the owners were helpful and easy to contact for arranging stays. It's only about 2.5 hours from New York City, making it an ideal location for an extended weekend getaway. I'd definitely recommend it for travelers looking for a nice escape from the city or a great location from which to experience the beauty, adventure and fun of the Berkshires.

  The house is well kept, clean and roomy. It accommidated all six of us easily Outside is maintained nicely Our children we able to roam and explore around the house. There were in no danger of cars etc. it was unusually, warm when we were there in March. The screened in porch would have been used but, the furniture had not been uncovered from winter. The only draw back is there was no grill outside. Our family enjoyed our stay and would return to this property again

  Lovely house, beautifully appointed. Perfect location. Great walks from the home and Great Barrington is just a few minutes away. Super restaurants, good skiing -- a very refreshing getaway. My kids wanted to move there. Thanks!
