The apartment is even better than the pictures on the website! It feels really spacious from the minute you walk in. And when you get to the lounge window.... wow that view is simply stunning! I spent every morning just gazing at the sea... so relaxing. The apartment is very clean and well equipped - it's refreshing to stay somewhere that has more than enough cutlery, crockery & towels! The furnishings are all modern and very comfortable. The beach is a 5 minute walk away & is really clean. St Ives is a short drive away or a hop on the train, which is a few minutes walk from the apartment. If you are looking for a nice restaurant, I can thoroughly recommend St Andrew's Street Bistro in St Ives :) Thank you for a lovely stay in your lovely apartment Pascale & we will return hopefully when the weather warms up! :)Did you find this review helpful? Was truly amazed at the high spec of this property. This is not of those rental properties that has the lowest quality of everything (furniture, beds, towels, kitchen, sofas, plates etc!), this is like going to live in the home of someone who likes to live well and having it all to yourself! The view is fantastic - mesmerising. Had some friends come for a couple of dinner parties, and it was a super place for entertaining. There's a train station just 60 seconds walk away to catch a train (£1 each way!!) directly into St Ives, which takes about 3 minutes - where you then get to walk through the main car park and smile with satisfaction that you're not one of those cars sitting waiting for a space! The beach is a problem - it must have taken 3 minutes to walk there!!! Yes, 3 whole minutes and you're on a beach which even in December in the drizzle, is very pleasant to have a stroll along! A fantastic stay - very relaxing, in a really comfortable property. Oh and Pascale - the owner - was very helpful and communicative.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

When entering the property we immediately felt the high quality compared to other holiday flats. It was very clean. Everything was provided for (spices, paper, envelopes, dishwasher powder, bags, potholders, tea towels, art on the walls). The sofas, chairs, and beds are really comfortable. Nice parquet flooring in all rooms. Radiators are electronically regulated, looking like flat screen TVs. Reason must be that the owners and their friends also come to their flat. So this is not just for renting. Some neighboring flats are permanently lived-in. A friendly facility manager is around and takes care of the complex. We have stayed for an exceptionally long period of time, for a total of 15 weeks with two children, 2 and 5 years old, and enjoyed it very much. What we found unique is the perfect view to the beach. You always know how the waves are, and where the tide is, inviting you to walk down the road to the beach. In addition to that you can see the scenic railway from the living room, also inviting you to take another ride every time it passed by. There is easy access to the flat. It is just one stairway, no corridors, no long ways. The coastal path is running directly in front of the window from the edges of the lawn! To reach the garden you have to go down the stairs to the entrance, and then follow another stairway down to the lawn.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Simply outstanding. From the luxurious kitchen to the exceptional sleeping facilities, the owners of this top-class accommodation have clearly spared no expense in creating an unforgettable setting for a stay in Cornwall. Boasting breathtaking views over the clear waters of Carbis Bay, and with an unspoiled, family beach a few metres from your door, you’d be hard-pushed to find anywhere more rewarding to spend anything from days to weeks. Thanks to the unobtrusive station, just seconds from the apartment, travel to St Ives (only five minutes’ ride) is both convenient and relaxing – and you have the added bonus of avoiding the challenges of parking in one of Cornwall’s most famous and vibrant resorts. As a first-time visitor to Cornwall, I had no idea what to expect. But after losing hours taking-in the incredible panoramic view from Aigua Blava’s huge front window, my next visit can’t come soon enough. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this five-star apartment to anyone considering a stay on Cornwall’s coastline. In fact, I’d go as far as to say Aigua Blava is among the finest holiday apartments I’ve ever enjoyed. The generous Welcome pack of goodies was just the icing on the cake.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

With our children (10, 12 and 14) we spent one week at Carbis Bay. The apartment was clean, modern and tastefully decorated. The view over the beach and sea was just terrific. Because we did self-catering, we also enjoyed the modern and well-equiped kitchen. We often went to the beach and some times walked to St. Ives. All this can be done on foot, which makes it even more relaxing and enjoyable.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We went to St Ives on the recommendation of English friends. We selected the Aigua Blava apartment because of the pictures on the website. However the real things is even much better. We have spend quite some time just looking at the see, the beautiful bay and the matching English weather from the living. The apartment is also clean, well equipped and in an excellent condition.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

As soon as we walked in, we begun to mentally abandon all our plans to just stay there and enjoy the apartment and the breathtaking views. Photo's really cannot do it justice. Why one would stay in a hotel, in one room compared to a luxurious fully equipped flat is beyond me. Cooking meals for the family in the kitchen was a joy, as was sitting on the sofas afterwards watching films, and the still and quiet at night was heavenly. The beach is an irresistible 5 minute walk away, and St Ives is ten minutes by taxi. The location is perfect, with restaurants and pubs scattered near by whilst still feeling secluded and like a true getaway. I can imagine going back there with friends, family, and my partner - it would be suitable for all. Unreservedly recommend!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

It was our first stay in St. Ives at this accommodation. We spent a lovely week in Aigua Blava Appartment and we have enjoyed each day in this excellent and spacious flat. The high standard of the equipment and the marvellous view to the bay and the sea convinced us to come again. All things are prearranged with passion. All rooms are luxurious and clean. We have for over 30 years a lot of experience in self-catering accommodations and can say that this was a very special one.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

I'm ashamed to say that this review is nearly a year late...we visited Aigua Blava in June 2010 but we still talk about it and remember it like yesterday. The apartment is perfect - so clean, spacious, luxurious and well laid out. I remember walking in and just thinking what a great choice we had made. Our little boy loved it - especially the trains going past. And the view....spectacular! Carbis Bay is a lovely spot and of course there is so much to see in this part of Cornwall. Scarlet Wines in Lelant was a restaurant/deli that really made an impression with us - we took the train there and had a fantastic meal - so I can recommend it. The Lost Gardens of Heligan was another great day out for us, as of course was the Eden Project. I would love to return - it's just a tad expensive when there are only the three of us - and now that we have to really stick to school holidays. We WILL return though........Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The apartment was exquisite and the view extraoridnary. All our expectations were met since we desscription we got from the web was accurate. The communications with the owner were easy and informative. The welcome paket was perfect. We arrived at the appartment in September 2009 to a lovely surprise, it was so beatiful and we relaxed into each room very quickly. It was home from home and very relaxing with beautiful views of the sea from the lounge. Even the weather was on our side that week, it was sunny every day. We visited many different places as they were within a short driving distance from the apartment. The apartment was excellent value and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. We would recommend this apartment to our friends and family.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
