Beachcomber's Paradise has been completely remodeled inside and out. This cofortable, fully stocked house is located at MP 20.5, on the ocean side of the road with no streets to cross to get to the beach. Beach nourishment was completed in the fall of 2011, and the beach is wide waiting for sun, sand, and surf lovers for another year of paradise in Nags head. You will be provided with a unique code for your stay allowing you to go directly to the house without stopping at a rental office to pick up a key. Check out is as effortless with no stopping to drop off the keys. No need to pack sheets or towels, they are provided free of charge to our guests. One less thing you'll need to pack for your relaxing vacation. The beds will be made on your arrival and you'll feel like you're at a hotel, but with a whole house at your disposal. The kitchen has brand new cupboards, granite counter tops, and stainless steel appliances. You'll find the cupboards are stocked with everything a chef or casual cook will need to make a meal to enjoy by the private pool picnic table, on the deck watching the waves, or in the hot tub looking at the stars. It's a cooks dream kitchen. The walls have fresh paint, the floors new carpeting, and brand new furniture. You can sit on the leather couch in the great room and watch the ebb and flow of the tide. The great room has a 50' flat screen TV, Blu-Ray player with movies for family viewing pleasure. If you don't want to watch TV with the family, you can use the Wii game system, with it's own flat screen TV, DVD player, and Wii games. There's a nook if you want to read a book or use the Foosball table for a quick game of friendly competition. For those that like board games or puzzles, there's a good assortment of both, and plenty of room to spread out to enjoy the time with friends and family. The counter height dining room table will seat 8 and for a more casual breakfast, there are 4 stools at the granite bar. Laundry won't be a problem there's a brand new washer and dryer right off the kitchen and you can watch the waves while you fold your clothes. The 6 person hot tub is located in the same area as the pool. Or, you can use it at night under the stars and listen to the waves hitting the shore. The 4 bedrooms are on the first level. There are 3 bedrooms with queen size beds and a 4th bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV and DVD player. There are two roomy bathrooms on the same level as the bedrooms. The ground level has no rooms. With ground level rooms on the beach side of Route 12 there is frequently a problem with water getting in the rooms with storms the area is prone to get. The private pool is 12 X 25 with lounge chairs to work on your tan or a shady area if you want to get out of the sun for a while. There's an outside shower on the ground level to rinse off after a day at the pool and beach.
The house is located in a very quiet area, but is centrally located in the Outer Banks. For many, the draw to the Outer Banks is the beautiful ocean and warm sand. It wouldn't be hard to enjoy a week of total relaxation without ever leaving the huge beach and house equipped with anything you want or need. But, there are so many other things to do that this space will not allow us to list them all. Jeanette's Pier is open and has not only fishing, but a restaurant, and many other amenities. Jockey's Ridge is a great place to hike and you can use your Boogie Board in the winter months to sand board. There are wonderful restaurants that serve local seafood and the variety is limitless. There are several miniature golf courses and kitty putt putt within a 5 minute drive. If you want to go deep sea fishing there are several charter boats that can take you out for a day of fishing. At MP 16 there's a raceway that some have called the 'ultimate Indy track'. If you want to go for a run or walk, there is a walking path that runs behind the house and you can walk for miles. If you want to jog in the woods, Nags Head Woods is a great cool place to take a summer run. There are several light houses that run the length of the barrier island. For the more adventuresome, you can rent kayaks, jet ski, or parasail. The options are limitless. Manteo, home of Andy of Newberry fame, is a quaint little town and Duck is only a hop skip and a jump if you want to do some local shopping.
The house is in a different management company for 2013 and we're pleased to say our other property had 100% guest satisfaction with Outer Banks Blue in 2012.

Having owned rental property I know first hand how difficult it is to allow strangers into your house. You have given the house such warmth, personality, and personal touches that it makes you feel so comfortable. Your hard work and good taste did not go to waste on our family group of 3 generations. The weather was less than perfect and we found the games, books, and movies to be a blessing on a few of the rainy days. When the sun was out we were on the decks, at the pool, or at the beach, but always knew we had a magnificant place to return to when our day ended. The view of the ocean from the couch is amazing. The open layout allowed us to cook in the wonderful kitchen and still feel like we were part of the group. Thank you for sharing your home! (It's more than simply a house)Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Your vacation is in good hands here! No worries and the property is exactly as described, you just bring the ability to make memories and have tons of fun. What a fun, fun vacation in your wonderful home away from home! Easy walk to the beach for the kids and my parents as well. The kitchen supplied many yummy meals and was great for mother, daughter, grand daughter cook offs that will now be a new tradition for our family beach vacation. The pool was fantastic, well kept and convenient. After years of vacationing in South Nags, we have found a home that works for the entire family. After a day in the sun we enjoyed the current movie selection, watching several DVDs that we had wanted to see but just didn't have the time to enjoy when they were in the theater. The highlight was the chess board as all three kids learned to play chess and have become quite competitive. The fooseball table saw some lively play too. We look forward to returning in 2013!Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

As a child, we spent many vacations in the Outer Banks. As we became adults we all went our own direction with our spouses and children. Now that the children are grown and have children of their own, my siblings and spouses all came back to the Outer Banks for a great vacation. I can say the Outer Banks have changed quite a bit in the last 40 years, but we still found the area to be wonderful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful and well appointed home with those of us that live too far away to ever have the dream of home ownership in Nags Head. We enjoyed reading the books on the decks as we drank our morning coffee and the video selection on a rainy day was a real delight. We represented 3 states and will thank you from Utah, Texas, and Maine!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

The house is brand new and everything you could possibly want is provided by this owner. We've vacationed in the Outer Banks for many years and this is by far the best house we've rented. The house is within a few yards of the beach, the pool was cleaned twice during our stay, and the second level hot tub is amazing at night under the stars. It's about 4 miles from commercialization and was a concern when we booked the house, but grew to love the peace and quiet. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to grocery stores, restaurants, and stores, but when you're on the decks you think you're miles from the rest of the world. If you're looking for a lot of street lights, Wings, or Subway you're staying in the wrong part of Nags Head. We loved the master bedroom and the restful colors. Our twins loved the bunks with the surf theme. It's a great beach house for every taste and the description can't begin to detail the house properly.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Very nice clean, more than fully equipped, it is also thoughtfully equipped! Child proof plugs and night lights, just to name a couple! We had a wonderful time @ your vacation home and will hopefully return. This was our last family trip before heading for the west. ;) Thank you for sharing your home and your thoughtfulness. Do not be afraid to rent this home based on the pictures, or anything else that is 'feared' from renting online, site unseen! Pool was great for the little ones, too little to go to the beach, and needed to be near a bottle or bed. ;) Conveniently located, and close enough, but far enough for the quiet you are looking for! Year Purchased: 2012
About the owner: We're a couple married for 35 years, have 3 grown children (actually 6 because we count the spouses as our kids)that all live within a 30 minute drive and 2 'perfect' grandsons. We live in PA, but our hearts are in the Outer Banks. Some day we will become a year round resident, but for the time being, we'll enjoy our family and get to the beach when possible.
Why the Owner Chose Nags Head:
We owned property in Duck and Corolla that we sold in 2007 before the bottom dropped out of real estate. We thought we loved the norhern beaches, but began branching out when we'd vacation in the Outer Banks. We fell in love with Nags Head! It's quiet, the beaches aren't crowded, there's no street lights and you can see the stars at night, there are 2 lane roads without cars backing up, and the restaurants and stores are within a couple miles.

The views are fantastic! We've only owned the house for a short period and everything is brand new.
