Be the first to rent this 2BR, 2BA home in beautiful Elk Neck, approximately eight miles south of the town of North East, MD.
Your drive will take you through North East, where you will definitely want to check out all of the quaint little gift shops and the fabulous restaurants during your stay; there are so many to choose from!
Travel the back roads to your vacation destination; now is a beautiful time of year out this way, with all the leaves changing. Wait til you arrive and see it here! Everyone loves our little piece of heaven, and you will, too!
Your home overlooks the creek, so peaceful, especially early-morning, as the sun is rising. The sight of the fog floating from the creek out into the river is the best, along with the sounds of the geese and ducks and other birds.
There is an abundance of wildlife here... foxes, raccoons, deer. The bald eagles are a favorite though! There are also plenty of osprey, blue heron, and mallards and other ducks.
Funny story about the mallards! My brother bought them a few years ago because we didn't have many back then. He feeds them and named them the 'dummy ducks'! He can holler for them and no matter where they are, you will soon hear them start quacking before they all come flying in to shore to my brother's place where he is throwing feed to them! It will definitely bring a smile to your face, and if you have kids, they will love it!
The home is completely furnished and includes a fully-stocked kitchen- you just need to bring the food! All appliances, utensils, cookware, dishes, etc, are brand-new!
We want everything to be perfect for your stay, so be sure to call and ask any questions you may have and i will do my best to be sure you have everything you need!

About the owner: My name is Kim and I am married to Steve. I own this rental property with my brother, Gene. We inherited the property from our Grandmother along with a good amount of debt and in need of some expensive and time-consuming repairs and clean-up!! lol! But the three of us have been, and still are, working continuously on the property and while it is coming together quite impressively, and once we get it to exactly where we want it, we will work just as hard maintaining it! We all love working outside, so it's perfect! Steve and I have 4 kids; ages 23, 18, 16, and 11. Steve is a Systems Engineer and I work part-time as a Nail Tech, but the majority of my work is here, on the property, and of course being a taxi for my kids, doing 'Mom' stuff and hanging out with my husband (usually our times together are while we are working on the property, lol!) We enjoy day trips, amusement parks, going out to dinner, dancing, concerts, bowling, movies, tubing, kayaking and rowing, and bonfires, and Steve enjoys gardening. Gene works hard, both with his Masonry business and here on the property. He has one son who is 18. Gene enjoys being on the water in his bass boat or kayak. He also loves deep-sea fishing and traveling to Assateague Island.
Why the Owner Chose North East:
This beautiful property has been in my family since 1918 when my Grandfather moved here from NY with his parents; he was 5 years old. My Dad grew up here, and then Gene and I grew up here as well. And we love it so much, we are still here, on the property (so we are very close if you need anything during your stay).
When we were growing up, our Grandparents rented the property for summer rentals and those are our favorite childhood memories, so we are so excited to be bringing that back!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
One of my favorite things is being out on the water. It is so serene and I believe it's the most beautiful, peaceful place. I leave my stress behind as I kayak and enjoy the summer breeze and the sunshine and all of the wildlife and the beauty of it all.
Another thing I enjoy is just relaxing on the pier getting some sun, but if it's an exceptionally hot day, I get my sun while floating on a raft!
Gene enjoys being out on his bass boat, fishing.
While the home you will be staying in is very lovely, you will probably spend most of your time outdoors, just as we do in the summer!
