Our Mokelumne cabin, built in 2011, is nestled in the trees on our family owned and operated campground. During your stay in the cabin, you will have access to a half-mile of river frontage on the South Fork American River. You will love relaxing here on the riverbank or on your own private patio under the oaks and pine trees.
The cabin has one queen bed and three twin beds. A four person table sits in the fully furnished kitchen. The kitchen has granite counter tops, a two burner stove, coffee maker, microwave, and an under counter refrigerator. (No oven in the cabin.) The private bathroom includes a tiled shower, mirror, sink, and toilet. All bedding and towels are provided. The living room has two twin beds. The private bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed and its own sink. Walk out of the sliding glass doors to your own private patio, complete with picnic table and charcoal BBQ.
Enjoy close proximity to the Camp Lotus Store for fresh-baked goodies, sandwiches, cold drinks, and espresso. Feel free to use the volleyball court and horseshoe pits. Free wireless internet is also available.
Two miles away is Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park where James Marshall discovered gold in 1848. The State Park is a great place to visit, complete with Visitor Center, Gold Panning, and even grinding rocks left from the time that the Maidu Indians lived here before the Gold Rush.
Also closeby are many miles of hiking and biking trails. Every season is unique. Wildflowers are spectacular in the springtime, summer days are warm and nights are cool. Fall is particularly colorful, and Apple Hill and wineries are just a half hour away. In Winter the campground is closed and cabin dwellers have a private natural wonderland to wander in.
