We (a family of 3) stayed at this superb property - well maintained and most comfortable. It's located around the corner from the CO-OP and just a few blocks from Main Street, the Plaza and the OSF theaters. We used our car exactly twice during a 5-day stay. This will be our first choice for any future stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We're annual visitors to Ashland & it's Shakespeare Festival, and have stayed at various hotels and B & B's. This is the first time we stayed at a vacation rental, and it sure exceeded our expectations! I was a little concerned at first, as we already had reservations at a hotel, but had to change our arrival date and there were no other available vacancy at the hotel, inns or B &B's located close to downtown. I decided to check VRBO, having used it one other time. Found several rentals available, but as my family has several requirements needed to be met, 237 B Street came up on top of the list. Even then, I figured we may have to "make do" this year since there were no photos of the place while it was being remodeled so we put out down our deposit on faith that the unit will be nice. Wow, is that an understatement! The unit is beautiful, spacious and convenient. Our two adult-sized teens loved having their own room and space to stretch out, my husband and I loved sitting outside with our coffee & tea in the mornings, and taking refuge from the heat in the comfortable sitting areas inside in the afternoons. And when it says the unit is near to the food co-op, it wasn't kidding. The store is just right around the corner...so convenient when we needed to pick up some snacks and breakfast items but didn't want to drive a mile to Safeway. And the walk to the theaters, shops & restaurants is nice & easy, just 2 or 3 blocks depending on where we needed to go. Teresa, the rental manager, was wonderful to work with too. Very responsive and pleasant. In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we're coming back next year and renting both the 1-bedroom & 2-bedroom units as we'll have more family joining us!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you are in Ashland and this place is open, JUMP on it! The floor creeks like an old house but it adds character. The remodel brings this place into 2012 and was a joy to stay at! It's close to everything you would want in the city from food to drinks to the wonderful park. The owner was great! When I go back I hope it is open! If there was convertible bed(s) I did not find it. The couch would be fine for one to sleep on but I don't know how you would sleep 6 unless you had 3 in a bed.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: We have two delux air mattresses available upon request. One is a twin size, and one a queen.

Bravo! I truly enjoyed this place! The decorations and furniture are beautiful, and the location made my walk to downtown, plays and restaurants very quick and pleasant, The bed was very comfortable, and every room was immaculate. I was even greeted with wine and flowers! And decent wine at that. It had a very comfortable, relaxed feeling to it, but sophisticated at the same time. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful in answering my questions about sightseeing and eating in the area. Thanks again for a great stay. I'll recommend u unreservedly to my friends and family coming to Ashland.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
