  I stayed in this house with a group of girlfriends last week for the SXSW music festival. The place was actually even nicer than we'd expected -- very clean and well-furnished. If you're up for a bit of a trek (~2.5 miles), the walk into downtown is really lovely. Otherwise there is an easy $1.00 bus nearby, or a very quick drie. We made a morning habit of stopping by Juiceland for amazing smoothies to drink on the bus! At the end of every long, tiring day it was great to retreat to such a comfortable, quiet spot. And of course, Dominique was great -- very helpful and responsive. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  This rental was great. We have rented 5 other properties through Homeaway and have found this to be one of the best. It is in a great location, is roomy and most importantly (based on other rentals), was clean!!!! The bedrooms are located downstairs, which makes it nice for those that want to stay up later. Perfect place, and again......clean!!!!

  Place was great!! Have rented 5 other properties in the same area and really think this is one of best. The place was clean, which says a lot, and roomy. The bedrooms are located downstairs, which was nice for those that wanted to stay up later. Really a great deal, in a great area and again....it was clean.

  We were looking for a home that could accommodate a large dinner for about 12-14 people for our Jewish holiday. Most of the homes listed had small dining areas, but this home with it's open dining/living area was perfect. Dominique was amazing to work with. I didn't meet her in person but our emails back and forth and phone conversations made me feel great. She was gracious, accommodating, and very easy to deal with. I loved this house as it served the purpose we needed it for. We had an amazing holiday and 10 minutes from UT where our kids are which made it very easy on us. Great neighborhood. One note I must make and this is in no way the owners fault but the home right next door had some teens staying there who made a lot of noise and were very loud using foul language...good thing they left the next day...I would definitely rent this home again ...Thanks Dominique for everything

  We had a great time staying at this property near Zilker Park! It was in a perfect location, and it had everything we needed for a great vacation. It worked really well with children--we were able to put the kids to sleep downstairs and then relax upstairs without worrying about waking the kids. Dominique was very friendly and responsive. We definitely recommend it, and we would love to stay here again!

  I stayed here with a group of friends during the SXSW music festival. The house was very spacious, bright, and open. It has a nice feel; clean and modern, but not at all sterile. The furniture is comfortable and there are some funky and unique touches that make it feel more home-y. Since there were no couples in my group, the sleeping arrangements were excellent. A lot of other places would have had us sharing beds, but having 3 twin beds was ideal. We all enjoyed the large open living/ dining/ kitchen area. It's a great space to hang out and be social. As if the space alone wasn't enough, there's a great view out to the hills that is even better when you go out onto the deck in the morning. You're not right downtown, but that's a good thing. You're only a few miles away from the heart of it all, but it's far enough that you can kick back and relax. Even on one of the craziest weekends of the year, the neighborhood was very calm and quiet. You'll really appreciate coming back to this house after a busy day.

  We loved this place! My wife and I stayed for 5 nights and had a blast. It's right next to Barton Springs, which is the most beautiful urban spring/swimming pool you could ever imagine. We rented bikes one day and were 2 minutes from the trail that circles downtown and Town Lake. We also walked to Shady Grove and had lunch one day. There's lots of great restaurants very close to the house, actually it seems everything is close to the house! The home looked ok from the outside, nothing super fancy just a cool funky 2 story Austin home. The interior was very nicely done. It looked like all the furniture was new, the rooms all had good TVs, wireless and the view from the upstairs deck was beautiful. For the money the place can't be beat, we're done with hotels in Austin. Thanks so much, we'll be back soon!

• A perfect stay!

  This place was fabulous! I am constantly travelling for business, but for my latest Austin trip i decided to stay near the park and "live like the locals." I was a little anxious at first since I am used to very nice and clean hotel digs. WOW!!!!! The location was absolutely perfect. I could walk to Zilker park, SOCO, Jo's Coffee, the running trail, all the hip restaurants on Barton Springs, you name it. The owner is a local (and well-connected) musician, and she gave me all the skinny on which places to go and see while I was there. This little extra made my trip SWEEEEET! The place is ultra clean, bright and spacious, the perfect location, and beats my normal hotel stays for sure! I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Austin, especially with a little extra time on your hands to enjoy what Austin is all about. I am planning on returning with a big group of friends for a weekend getaway. A++++++

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
