Location! Location! Location!
Location! Location! Location!
We loved the location of this apartment! We arrived on September 21, 2013 and stayed 3 nights. Patrizia was easy to book with via email. I was a bit concerned there was no contact phone number when I booked but Patrizia always answered by email quickly closer to arrival I was given a number for emergencies so all was good. Patrizia was away and her son met us and walked us through the apartment which is exactly as shown in photos on this website. There are no surprises, the stairs are steep but if you are in Europe to site see then you must be prepared for stairs anyway, right? We found the living room a bit dark with no windows so we just chose to enjoy our evening wine in the upstairs bedroom as there is a nice couch in there and two windows that open up and allow you to enjoy the sounds of Rome drifting up from the street below. We did hear very light sounds of street even with double windows closed at night but we enjoyed it and as I said it was light...more like a humming sound lulling us to sleep. There is only one bathroom but it is very spacious and the whole apartment was spotless (you can't count the dark lines on tiles in bathroom as that is normal aging)...and again...it was spotless! The toiletries left by Patrizia were a nice touch. We walked everywhere from this location and enjoyed being in the heart of Rome. I fretted over where to stay when researching Rome but I would choose the Navona area for future travels for sure. For the price we paid I would highly recommend that if you don't mind the stairs to book this apartment. Thank you Patrizia and I only hope when we come back to visit that we will get to meet you in person.

Absolutely loved this apartment!
Absolutely loved this apartment!
We arrived in Rome on Saturday afternoon and met Patrizia at the apartment. She helped us get settled by showing us all around the apartment and explaining how everything worked. After she left, we decided to go on "walk about" around the neighborhood to get our bearings and find something to eat. That was when we discovered what an absolutely perfect location this was. We spent 4 days in Rome and walked everywhere! No taxis, buses or anything besides our legs was required to get us where we wanted to go, and we went everywhere. The Coloseum, Forum, Capitoline Hill, Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon ... you name it. And the best part, in my opinion at least, was the close proximity of Frigidarium, where you will find the best gelato in Rome! Also very close by was Piazza Navona...a great place to hang out after a long day. As far as the apartment itself, we loved it. It was very clean, and the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. It looks exactly like the pictures. The only thing that may be an issue for some people are the stairs...they are steep and narrow. Other than that, the apartment is perfect, and Patrizia could not have been nicer or more pleasant to deal with. If we ever return to Rome, (we threw coins in the Trevi so...we'll see!) we would absolutely stay here again! Oh, and don't forget to visit Mimi & Coco's, the cafe right outside your front door...they are wonderful and the food is good! Ciao!

This was our first trip to Italy and this was our first day. We arrived exhausted but wide-eyed as we took it all in. Even though the apartment was not quite ready (no problem - we were made aware of that way back when we registered), Patrizia walked us to a cafe where we could have breakfast while we waited. She even arranged for the bill to be paid! What a welcome to Italy! The apartment was so very close to everything. It's also very near (2 blocks) a bus stop that takes you to anything else that isn't so close. The apartment was clean, not noisy (we kept the windows shut), good air conditioning and wifi. It is small, but we were only there to sleep and to finish the evening with a glass of wine (or grappa). The stairs are 'killer' in that they're steep and narrow, but we just considered it training for all the towers we were going to climb. They added to the charm! Checkout was easy - no need to arrange to meet - just leave the keys and go. My only disappointment with that was that I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Patrizia :-) I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment to anyone who stays in Rome.

Charming apartment and excellent location
Charming apartment and excellent location
We just returned from Rome where we stayed at Patrizia's appartment and we loved it. We are from Texas and really appreciated the double windows which blocked the street noise, an air conditioning unit in each bedroom and living room but most of all the tasteful interior which retained the charm of this classic Roman city dwelling. We loved everything. The size of the appartment is perfect for 5 or even more comfortably. We did not expect a large kitchen because this is Europe and who would want to cook meals at home in Rome anyway? If you are in Rome dine out. Absolutely excellent location. Mimi and coco is a bar 8 yards from your front doors which are about 200-300 years older than you.... Comfortable walk to Most attractions. Museum of Rome is 150 yards away at most. Navona 1 min, St Agnes church off Navona 2 min, coliseum is 20 min and St Peter's Basilica maybe 30, Trevino and Spanish steps- 15 min We loved it and would recommend this place to anyone with kids or without. Thank you

A great place!
A great place!
My sisters and I took our mother to Rome for Mother's Day and stayed at Patrizia's apartment. It was exactly as pictured and was very clean and quaint. Patrizia was waiting for us on arrival and was kind enough to have a bouquet of flowers for my mother! VERY SWEET! We would absolutely stay here again if we return. I can't say enough about the location of this apartment! It was in the heart of and within walking distance to everything you need. The grocery store (Carrefour) was a block or 2 away and the most amazing (and from what the locals say is the best) Gelato around is a block away (Frigidarium). Both places are on the same street as the apartment. Mimi Coco's restaurant just outside the front door is where we unwound with wine after a long day. Piazza Navona, Pantheon & Trevi are very close by and so is transportation. Location, location, location! Thanks Patrizia !!!!!

Home in Rome
Home in Rome
Arriving at the heavy wooden doorway on the narrow ancient landmark street across from the sidewalk cafe, I knew already I had made the right choice for introducing our twin teenagers to Rome. This is a great spot to immerse yourself in the historic city around the corner from the Piazza Navona and convenient to everywhere. The apartment is large, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is clean and well appointed. The water is hot and the pressure is good. The double insulated windows keep the street noise out. There are no good views from the apartment. Instead it is an oasis from sensory overload of the day. A great little grocery store down the street supplied us great breakfasts. We all had a wonderful time here. Some may be intimidated by the steep stairs. The kitchen is tiny. Great for breakfast but we didn't want to eat in otherwise. For us it was an ideal spot at a reasonable money saving price when compared to hotels.

Thank you so much to Patrizia for providing such a wonderful place for us to stay in while visiting Roma!! The place is as advertised and is very clean. All the necessary items for travel are provided and Patrizia was most helpful when we arrived and provided us with the keys and great information. The apartment is in the heart of Rome and only a couple minutes walk to Piazza Navona. The market down the street was well supplied. We loved the place and had a great time in Rome, Italy. If you get the chance to go and want a great place that is close to all the sights then look no further. You have the market down the street, coffee shops and dinner places all close by. We would stay again if we get the chance to to back. Thanks again to Patrizia. What a great place and wonderful location!!

Our party consisted of 5 people staying at the apartment for 4 days over Christmas. We very much enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, well located two storey apartment. On the ground floor, the living area was small and internalized (no windows), but comfortable and well specified. The kitchen preparation area was small and the local laundromat a distance away (10 minute walk). Steep stairs lead upstairs so the apartment is unsuitable for people who aren’t able-bodied. Upstairs, the apartment had a very comfortable main bedroom, a second twin bedroom to the rear and central open extended landing space with another bed. Any shortfalls in the accommodation specifications were more than made up for by its wonderful location only a street from Piazza Navona. The building is also very characterful and historic. The local streets have many restaurants, bars and interesting shops. A supermarket is located just up the street. Patrizia was also very helpful booking a nearby restaurant for us on Christmas Day. Highly recommended!

We traveled to Rome for Thanksgiving and found the apartment and the neighborhood in which it is located a perfect fit for our needs. Having only a long weekend to see the sites and enjoy the city, the central location was great as was the proximity to a small grocery store and restaurants including a wine bar right across the street. The apartment was comfortable and clean and Patrizia was very helpful. All in all - a great stay!
