  I cannot not say enough about this home. I probably will use all of the characters to describe it. I came down to NOLA from Chicago with my family. They did not know what to expect and they just kept heard me talking about this site. I was nervous pulling up to the place because I was not sure if the money I spent was a scam. Once we unlocked the door, it was like unlocking a castle. In a beautiful, quiet, safe and transforming neighborhood, I was truly amazed at what I saw. The pictures in fact did no justice at all. All of our mouths drop just walking into the kitchen. It was such a beautiful atmosphere and the modern boutique of a feel made it homely. The art pieces fit perfectly. The homely feel was amazing until we walked in the bed rooms. We were again baffled by the space and comfort that was displayed within this home. I myself stayed in the back apartment, and may I say it was as amazing as the front. I had my own kitchen and bath with beautiful flooring and up to date appliances. In the front, we cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner and used the tables along with the breakfast bar. I would highly reccomnend this property. If you do not book this soon for MARDI GRAS next year, It will be gone! This home is near stores, resturants, and only 4 miles from the QUARTER. Not to even mention the hospitality and quick respondsiveness of Debbie and Mitch. The Breakfast as well as the cold cuts were amazing right across the street. They make you feel at home and greet you with love and joy! Thanks again you all for the conversation and hospitality. We left feeling like we have known them for quite sometime.

  We just spent a week at Mitch and Debbies home on Friscoville and we could not have been more delighted. the photos do no justice to this beautiful home. Every aspect of this home is quality. Spotless clean and every amennity you could want or need is provided. The owners, Mitch and Debbie could not have been sweeter and super helpful. They also have a lovely dinner right across the street from the house and the food and service is excellent. I highly recommed this property to anyone looking to visit New Orleans.Also we used A-1 taxi service and they were also prompt and friendly. Thank you Debbie and Mitch for a wonderful stay.

  We had a great time in this house : the house is very clean, in a very quiet neighborhood. Sorry we didn't meet the owner : we were so busy discovering the Louisiana ... Très chouette petite maison dans un quartier très calme. Très propre et pas trop loin du Vieux Carré .. 5 étoiles pour recommander ce logement. (we are French)

  We spent four nights in this wonderful rental home and could not have been more pleased. It was luxurious, spacious and afforded us all of the amenities that we were looking for, including a marvelous breakfast each morning at the diner across the street. If you are looking for a "special" place away from home while you are in New Orleans, then this is surely the place that you want to rent.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

  We enjoyed our stay and regretted that we did not have more time to spend at the house. The three bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom, were luxurious. The living area was open and comfortable. Each morning we walked across the street to either eat breakfast or get take out breakfast from the Arabi Store. On some of our travels we utilize the kitchen, but on this trip we did not cook. However, the kitchen was very functional and beautiful. The best recommendation we could give is "We certainly look forward to another visit and staying in this lovely home!" (BTW, we had the opportunity to meet the owners as they are the proprieters of the Arabi Store.) We visited cemetaries, plantations, the French Quarter, all of the area around the convention center, the RiverWalk, etc. When visiting in the area of the convention center and the French Quarter be prepared to search and pay for parking... Many times we were able to park on the street which was metered, but we also used the public parking lots as well.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with teenagers.

  The owners have done a GREAT job in rehabbing this home. Each bedroom had their own very nice bathrooms, kitchen nas new appliances, granite countertops, and large countertop with bar seating. Large dining table can accomodate eight comfortably. The pitures don't do this home justice, it has a large open floor plan that can accomodate large groups. Our group of eight had plenty of space for everyone to meet and entertain in the living room and kitchen. Having a group of eight, we did rent the apartment in addition to the house. The apartment has been remodeled and elements of the house are carried into the apartment (which has it's own bathroom and kitchen). The owners having a restaurant/store across the street was very convenient. The breakfast and lunch meals are good, they sell beverages, and they are a very nice couple. You can park one vehicle under the apartment and about three cars on the property next to the house (if you have vehicles). The distance to the French Quarter is about a ten minute cab drive (roughly $15 each way). Getting a cab to pick be us up at the location of the home was one inconvenience we experienced. As mentioned before, we had eight staying and getting two cabs took, at a minimum, 30 minutes. We had called various cab companies over three different days, and the earliest we every got a cab to the house was 30 minutes, longest being close to an hour. All-in-all, everyone in our group enjoyed the house.

  I came with 5 girlfriends for Memorial Day weekend stay in New Orleans. I must say that they thought of EVERYTHING in the house from coffee to cleaning supplies. Having access to a washer and dryer was terrific as well. I completely emjoyed my stay at the house and would love it if they could just move this particular house to different cities all over the U.S. so that I can stay there when I visit other places for vacation. Thanks so much Jami!!! BTW, the neighborhood was very quiet and I felt safe in the house (alarm in home). I was concerned initially but my concerns were completely unfounded. If you are looking to go for a girl getaway, do not hesitate!

  We rented this spot for a long weekend this year for Jazzfest and it was perfect. The house was well equiped, clean, and very nicely furnished. The garage apartment is an added bonus if you have a few extra people, or maybe just want a little privacy from the group. The owners have a deli / convience store right accross the street with great eats; we walked over most morning and had breakfast. It is a short drive, or cab ride into downtown or the French Quarter but with more privacy and parking than you can expect out of a typical New Orleans rental in the city.
