This 3 bed, 2 bath (1700 sq ft) waterfront home is the perfect getaway for all seasons, located in the prestigious Tahoe Keys, a private waterfront community. If you enjoy peaceful, early morning sunrises shining against mountain peaks, sunny afternoons relaxing in the backyard, kayak excursions off your own private dock or being minutes from restaurants, casinos and the best skiing in Lake Tahoe...this versatile vacation home is the place for you.
The house, located on a large waterway, has its own private boat dock with easy access to Lake Tahoe. The open living area is upstairs and provides magnificent views of Mt. Tallac and Pyramid Peak. Beautifully decorated throughout with new furnishings, the house provides the modern comforts of home.
In the living room are a rich, brown leather couch and love seat, wood burning stove, flat-screen/HD TV, music system, wireless internet and access to a large deck over-looking the waterway.
The kitchen is newly remodeled with maple cabinets and granite countertops. It has been thoughtfully stocked with everything a home gourmet needs, including new cookware, bakeware and serve ware; along with a variety of wine glasses and other amenities for entertaining.
The dining room has a large communal table that easily seats 10, making it perfect for warm family gatherings.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, love seat and flat-screen/HD TV. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen bed and one with a twin/full bunk bed and futon/bed. The bedrooms have new furniture and linens, and each bed has a down comforter. AeroBeds for additional sleeping are available in the master and queen bedroom. The downstairs, queen bedroom also has a flat-screen/HD TV.
The upstairs and downstairs bathrooms are also newly remodeled with shower/tubs and travertine tile throughout.
The washer/dryer are located in the laundry closet upstairs.
The house is kid-friendly and includes a portable crib, stepping stools below all sinks and children plates/cups.
The Tahoe Keys community has several amenities including year-round access to an Olympic size heated indoor pool, spa facilities, and gym.
In the summer, you can enjoy the private beach, 7 tennis courts, and outdoor pool. Other activities include boating, water skiing, sailing, wind surfing, golfing, horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking/cycling.
During the winter months skiing, sledding, ice-skating and snowshoeing are only minutes away. Heavenly Valley, Sierra-at-Tahoe and Kirkwood are the closest ski resorts.
Casinos are only minutes away.

The vacation home was conveniently located in South Tahoe. The property was very new, clean and well-maintained. It was tastefully furnished and catered comfortably for our family of four, along with another family of four who joined us, visiting from Australia. We had four adults and fours kids and it felt very roomy. The views were magnificent - we were arms length from the lake and the gorgeous views of the snow cap mountains created a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing weekend in Tahoe. The pictures were accurate, however it is even more beautiful in person. Although the kitchen had all the cooking utensils to make our own meals, we were so close to Harrah's Casino, that we just enjoyed ourselves to a buffet dinner :) Owner was friendly and helpful with instructions to the rental. I would highly recommend this rental for a family friend vacation home all season round! A gem of a find! We look forward to coming back soon... A+++Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I booked this house last minute for the holiday weekend of New Years 2013. We booked a day before we were to start our vacation and were met with incredibly quick responses from the owner, who utilized the VRBO online payment system that made everything really quick and easy. The house is in tip top shape (recently remodeled) and was a perfect fit for 4 parents, 2 grandparents, and 2 toddlers. Perfect size, great amenities (wi-fi, cable, etc), and a great location. I've been staying in the keys (summer and winter) for the last 30 years and consider this home to be one of the best I've rented. I highly recommend it.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We just came back from Tahoe this past weekend. The house has just been remodeled and very nicely furnished. We were a group of two families and felt like the house had enough room for privacy for each family. It was a plus to have the boat dock at our disposal. The kitchen was equipped with enough utensils and pots/pans to have some meals and snacks at home. Of course we took advantage of the many restaurants that were on the north side since we had our boat with us. The owners were very thoughtful with having amenities for families with small children ( ours were 4 to 6 years old). We rent very often throughout the year in Tahoe ( for the past 30 years) and felt like this property is our top 5.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We chose to buy this house because it offered amazing and unique views of the mountain peaks and an unobstructed view of the lagoon.
South Lake Tahoe offers so much in terms of the outdoor activities we enjoy, specifically hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and skiing. We also love the fact that you can experience the great outdoors while also being minutes from a lively city center and many excellent restauarants.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
There are very few properties that offer the view that this home does. We enjoy many peaceful mornings, drinking coffee and admiring the view. In the summer, we often fire up the grill and enjoy BBQ's on the deck while family and friends enjoy the spacious backyard or take the kayaks out on the Lake. In the winter, we enjoy the short trip to the ski resorts as well as several nearby sledding and tubing spots.
