Peaceful oceanfront location just 20 minutes east of Roatan International airport is Palm Decks, a two bedroom two master suite fully equipped cottage situated on the scenic North shore of the Island in the private four home community of Milton Bight with security, pool and a dock with thatched palapa just footsteps away.
In this secluded, peaceful setting of white sand beach and a palapa that stretches out over the pristine waters you can enjoy a morning coffee or watch one of the amazingly beautiful sunsets with a cold one. If you wish to get away from it all, this is the perfect setting for you, your family or friends that would love to enjoy a Caribbean getaway.
The beautiful crystal clear Caribbean waters are home to the second largest reef system in the world and is host to numerous Dive resorts all over the Island, there are visitors from all around the world who come by air or sea to experience these pristine waters and the ambiance of the largest of the Bay Islands. English is widely spoken and the US dollar is a largely accepted currency.
This oceanfront cottage has two master suites, the upper Master has two separate locked entrances, one from the rear of the house up the stairs to the left of the main entrance, and one located on your deck facing the ocean with a set of stairs to the lower deck. You have your own washroom., and master suite to enjoy your privacy and there is air conditioning and an overhead fan should you need it. The main floor living area has a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar with 4 stools, a small patio table and 4 patio chairs, the living room has a 3 cushion leather sofa and a matching leather recliner, Direct TV a tape player and radio, overhead fans and an air conditioner, the Master Suite bedroom has a Jack and Jill bathroom.
Walk out to the lower deck with a propane BBQ a patio table and chairs overlooking the white sand and listen to the ocean with the crashing of the waves on the reef yards away. if you take a swim or have a leisurely walk or run down the beach there is an outdoor shower to rinse off.
Enjoy coffee out on the deck or take a short walk down the private dock to the palapa and enjoy the morning sea breeze gently blowing your cares away as you plan your day on the Island.
Once you arrive we have a property manager on site that will meet you at the airport or ferry and show you the local grocery outlets and return you on your departure. If you wish to rent a vehicle he will assist you and help out in any way so you may enjoy your vacation problem free. At the property he will familiarize you with your surroundings and fill you in on some local lore. You also may book and enjoy an Island meal prepared at the house for a nominal fee.
Besides world class Diving and snorkel there are numerous Island attractions to explore such as Zip lines and Canopy Tours, water sports of all kinds, a submarine to view the coral and sea world under water in West Bay, swim with the Dolphins, golf at the Pete Dye designed course called the Black Pearl or just relax and enjoy the surroundings and look out at the multi colored blue ocean. Next Door at Turquoise Bay Resort is Subway Water Sports that will take you out on tours of diving, snorkel or fishing and even drop you off at the dock at the end of your tour, or you can enjoy a meal in their dining room with extensive menu and beautiful location.
This oceanfront cottage has 180 degree views of the ocean and reef. Roatan is the largest of the Bay Islands and is the second largest reef system in the world next to the Great Barrier Reef making it a Divers paradise. There are numerous dive resorts up and down the Island coastline offering other activities and amenities of a tropical paradise. If water is your sport than this is the Island for you! there are numerous other activities available like snorkel, paddle boarding, zip lines and canopy tours, kayak, sport fishing, parasailing, windsurfing, iguana farm, museums, horseback riding, glass bottom boat, swim with the dolphins and dolphin show, diving in the tropical waters with reef sharks, a submarine ride, numerous arts and crafts shops, the Cameo shop, and other artisan shops, plenty of different dining cuisines, bars, sports bars and pubs.
History abounds with Christopher Columbus first visiting the Island in 1502 which began multiple invasions, migrations and retreats during the ongoing wars between the Spanish and British. The most interesting chapter in Island history was when pirate Henry Morgan chose this Island as a favorite destination in the Caribbean. Whether you take advantage of the warm turquoise waters of the coral reefs surrounding this tropical paradise or kick back and relax on the beach in front of your tropical rental getaway, or sip on a cold one under the palapa over the ocean in front of the property and witness a beautiful sunset slip away into the next sunny day in paradise, you will reflect on the day spent under the sun and in the waters of this tropical Caribbean paradise.

Spectacular views, away from everything I recommend renting a 4x4 car if you plan on visiting West Bay or other parts of the island dirt road to get to property. Cottage is in good shape with central AC downstairs and window AC upstairs nice deck on both floors. Property is clean and have security Great bone fishing from the flats to the right in front of the house. Bring mosquito deet!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

About the owner: I am a family dairy farmer and we also farm other crops in Langenburg, Saskatchewan, Canada. We love to get away once a year to Roatan to our little piece of paradise where family visits with us whenever they can.
