This remarkable mountain craftsman style luxury home was featured and on the front cover of Luxe Magazine . Built in 2006, this unique vacation home in Durango, CO is located in the gated community, Two Dogs that is just 22 miles from Durango and 2.2 miles from Durango Mountain resort. Your guest and/or their kids have the flexibility to come and go skiing within minutes from the house. There are four large bedrooms and four bathrooms. One master suite is upstairs and the other on the main floor both with king sized beds and steam showers in spacious private bathrooms. This home sits on 3 scenic acres and have two shared ponds and a waterfall. Bring your fishing poles because in Colorado the fish are plentiful!
The home has an open floor plan and is great for entertaining and once the sun goes down you can light one of the many fireplaces and enjoy stargazing and relaxing in the mountain splendor. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and has Viking appliances, granite countertops and an island eating area. All living areas and suites have spectacular views of Engineer Mountain, Castle Rock and the Hermosa Cliffs. The outdoor deck space with covered gas BBQ grill area is an added bonus to your outdoor experience.
In addition to the formal living area there is an upper level living area where the kids or young adults can enjoy themselves while you relax or entertain on the main level. This game area has a wet bar, pool table, TV and also has two twin beds and a full bath. Wireless internet and printer are available for your convenience.

Everything about this home exceeded all expectations for our spring break vacation. The house was beautiful and comfortable. The views of the Colorado mountains were truly amazing. I would highly recommend the house for a group who are vacationing together and want the best of everything! Thanks to the owner for sharing with us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Shannon thanks so much for sharing your home with us the week of 8/08 thru 8/15. Your home is absolutely beautiful! The views are amazing and the kitchen was so well stocked, from dishware to spices. We especially enjoyed just relaxing on the patios and the views of Potatoe Mountain. Durango is a neat little town with lots to do. The weather was perfect ... slept at night with the windows open and were very confortable during the day time. We loved that the house was easily accessible to Mesa Verde and Telluride. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for adventure and beautiful scenery. Wow!... such a stress reducer looking at the San Juan Mountains!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

Two Dogs is the incredible property; from the moment you open the front door it the incredible views from every room, craftsmanship, detail - a great stay! We gathered together for a family reunion and every couple had their master suite, we were able to put all the kids in their own "apartment" over the garage and that made everybody happy. With so much to see and do in the area, to come home to this property and enjoy all the views , the sounds of nature from you bedroom balcony, the ability to run down to your own little lake - Two Dogs is a top choice.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
