Lakeside house description
BEAUTIFUL LAKEFRONT HOME WITH PRIVATE BEACH AND ASSOCIATION TENNIS COURT!
Our father spent his summers in this home from the 1920s until 2009. We are three siblings in our 60’s who grew up summering in this cottage. Now our children and grandchildren enjoy it. It was built by our grandfather in the 1920’s, and our mother grew up two houses away, as well. This is a beautifully aging summer home. It is well lived-in. It is not fancy. But it loves an active family, and tolerates normal abuse well. The echoes of decades of joy linger.
Keywords: Large Tudor lakefront house, private lane, private beach, tennis court. This 1920 home has been in the same family for 90 years. It sits on a bluff overlooking a large lawn and the beach, a mere 56 steps below. Watch sunsets (and the kids) from a fully screened terrace.
At the entrance to the drive is a tennis court shared by you and a few neighbors on a friendly first-come, first-served basis.

We enjoyed our week even though we had cool weather and some rainy days. The location is nice and the beach is wonderful. It was great to walk out the door, down the steps and be at the beach. The home was comfortable and had plenty of room for our family--8 adults, 4 children, 2 babies. The kitchen was well stocked. The only downside was the problem of ants in the kitchen. We had to be careful with our food and spray every day. We like our family vacation to be low key and relaxing and this property worked well for our family.

We've been married 49 years, taken our family on many beach trips, and this one is the most equipped, roomiest, charming place we have been to! There is something for everybody in that charming place. Our ages ranged from 15 to 73 and we could all have our space, or we could all be together, it is a wonderful size. Each time we said, "oh, I wish I would have brought.....", we found it there, ready and clean for us to use! You gotta try this place, we came home relaxed and wanting to go back!!

The owners were very easy to work with and the listing descriptions were right on. Great location, clean, private and a fabulous beach that you could walk forever. What a great family home. We especially loved the large dinning room and table that allowed all 10 adults and two babies to share meals and time together. I would recommend this house to anyone. We hope to return and all requested a longer stay next time.

This home is a wonderful place to stay - we could not have asked for anything more. Staying with all six of our kids and our parents, this place had ample room for all of us. The location on the bluff above the lake was amazing - the steps to the beach were great - not to steep and very solid making it easy for all of us to go up and down. The house was clean, and everything worked well, not a problem at all. The management company was wonderful, answering any questions we had and being flexible with our hectic schedules. We will definitely be coming back!

great house for families traveling together. the dorm on the second floor was a hit with our kids. the location on the bluff right above a perfect beach was awesome, and we played tennis daily at the private court at the end of the driveway. the decor was a bit dated, but all appliances were new, everything worked and was well kept. finally, the management company was very responsive to our requests. in short, you will have a great time at this property.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The beach is only 56 steps away. Numerous trips up and down each day are common. Fires on the beach at night are magical, preferably with marshmallows. There is a fabulous coffee shop and deli less than a mile from the house. A morning stroll around our half-mile private lane with the dog is a perfect way to start the day. The speed limit on the lane is 12 mph; children on trikes are common.
