Quiet, very clean, comfortable and just what we need at least once a year! Thank you Steve and Sue for your hospitality, now that we have told others about your place, we just might have crowded ourselves right off the list! Loved being able to bring our dog! The cabin is throughly clean with the exception of a few ants in the kitchen! They have the kitchen pretty well supplied. This place is very peaceful & a wonderful place to get away from all of the city life! The woods are great for hiking & loved the fire-pit for those evening gatherings! They could use a bigger t.v.than a 19"! :( The distance to the beach is 3/10 of a mile, not just a short little walk as describe in some of the other reviews. Just in case your planning on carrying your accessories items to the beach. You can't see the lake from the cabin but, you can hear it and the highway! This is a perfect location for all of the site seeing attractions the upper UP & Mackinaw has to offer! Good price $.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We have stayed here twice and loved it! The owners are great people who take good care of the property but also give you your privacy. The cabin has always been clean and comfortable. It's nice to have a kitchen, too, as that offsets the cost of eating out every meal on your vacation. It's an easy day trip away from a number of interesting places in the Eastern UP, or you can head across the road for a relaxing day on the beach. I would highly recommend this cabin for families interested in a relaxing UP vacation. We plan to keep going back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We enjoyed the house over the long Labor Day weekend. Exceptionally clean rental, perhaps the cleanest we've ever had. We were able to hit all of the major attractions in the UP using the house as a home base. A great bargain in a central UP location.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

What a great place to stay. Short skip across the street to a very nice sandy beach, with crystal clear water. Plenty to do in the area, and more to do on day-trips. Something for everyone, whether you like hiking and sight-seeing, swimming, rock-hounding or if you like the touristy stuff...head back across the bridge and you have it all. House was very clean and well maintained. Nice fresh towels were a real treat, and totally unexpected!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
