The loft has ample parking behind Main St., although everything Rockland has to offer is right below your elevated perch. The Farnsworth Art Museum, the ferry terminal to Vinalhaven or Northaven, a multitude of fine restaurants, antique shops, art galleries, shopping, The Strand Theater, and Rockland's Windjammer Fleet are all within a couple of blocks. Expanding outwards with the help of an automobile, you can discover the quaint fishing village of Port Clyde in 20 minutes and even choose to visit Monhegan Island for the day. Going north one can explore Camden, Rockport, Mt. Battie, Lake Megunticook for a day of swimming, or just keep on driving up to Acadia National Park.
