With a Simmons Beauty Rest king, a Spring Air Chiropedic Super Firm double, a sleeper sofa and two Serta Perfect Sleeper twins, there is room for eight with an extra on the couch, if needed. The fully-equipped kitchen and outdoor charcoal grill allow you to prepare your own meals.
Want to eat out? No problem. It's a short drive to either Franklin, NC or Dillard, GA, where you can get anything ranging from traditional southern cooking served family style to gourmet restaurants. There is plenty to entertain the kids downstairs with ping-pong, foosball, darts, and games. Outdoors, you can relax in the spa or if you are more adventurous, try hiking up to the top of the ridge behind the cabin where the property borders the USFS. Don't be surprised by the wildlife you may encounter, such as the wild turkey, deer and fox.
Looking for something to do while you are here? For the golfer, there are nine nearby mountain golf courses available for you to choose from. How about white water rafting on one of three nearby rivers, do a little gem mining, or take a scenic train ride through a mountain gorge? Perhaps get a map, explore a little and go on a self-guided waterfall tour. Or why not spend a lazy afternoon on an inner tube floating down the Little Tennessee River, or for a wild inner tube ride, try the shoals of Deep Creek in nearby Bryson City?
Visit the Cherokee Indian Reservation and experience a moving performance of "Unto These Hills, performed live in their outdoor ampitheatre. Maybe rent a boat for a wonderful day on beautiful Lake Glenville. Or schedule an ATV trip along a bouncy, winding mountain trail. If shopping is for you, don't miss the quaint shoppes of Highlands, Dillsboro, and Cashiers. Day trips could include Historic Asheville and the Biltmore Estate as well as Gatlinburg, TN. Of course, don't forget the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. No trip is complete without a visit.
