We stayed here several times with our family which consists of my husband and two daughters. The most recent time was for the Fourth of July. We had a fun-filled time. We swam in the water, collected rocks, walked along the shore skipping stones, and made a castle in the sand out of sticks and rocks. We had a cookout on the grill and ate on the deck looking at the water sparkle in the sun. In the evening, we went to Northport for the fireworks. Upon returning, we had a bonfire, where we made smores and talked. In the morning, we enjoyed drinking coffee on the glider and watching the boats in the water. It is such a peaceful place, an escape from reality. It is a place that truly reflects the beauty of Lake Michigan. We had company from Texas join us for one stay. Out of all the places we visited and things that we did while they were here, this was their favorite part. They want to come back and stay here again. They refer to it as The Lakehouse.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
We enjoy the beachfront, swimming, finding new stones, sipping wine on the deck watching the boats go by. We also enjoy seeing the occasional deer that make their way to the water. The sound of the water is calming, with the gentle waves lapping on the shore. It's fun to go to Northport for other family outings.
