    We had a marvelous time. The home was exactly what we expected, very comfortable, quiet, private and the view was amazing. There was plenty of room and the outside ammenities were wonderful. Easy access to the freeway made it easy to go into Bellingham. We would like to thank the owner for sharing their home with us and all the information they provided. Very helpful!

    Susan and Karl was gracious enough to share their home with us for Thanksgiving. We wanted to host a a family gathering at the house for 20 or so adults and it was the perfect place for it. The rooms were very open and spacious with tall ceilings so everyone felt comfortable. The kitchen was fairly well equipped despite it being a vacation rental, we were able to use alot of the amenities to prepare our Thanksgiving feast. The weather wasn't the best but it was nice enough for us to enjoy the hot tub (which my two girls ages 4 and 3 loved) and the gas fireplace on the deck made it feel cozy in November. Overall, it was the perfect house for us to spend time with family. We look forward to coming back and enjoying the house in the summertime! Thanks so much Susan, for letting us stay at your wonderful lakehouse retreat!

    Spent my 50th birthday with 6 other gals. Had a great time at the house. It looked just like the photos that were posted. The owner was very helpful with all the questions we had for us to enjoy a weekend with no spouses, kids, dogs, etc. It was October, so the weather was not all that great to enjoy the outside activities. We did use the hot tub on one night and spent the rest of the weekend playing card games, giving each other manis/pedis/facials. My sister-in-law LOVED the kitchen. She is the chef in our family and had a wonderful dinner for all of us Saturday night after some of us came back from the Casino which is very close. Great shops close by as well. Some of us are already talking about going back in the summer months (and maybe we will bring our husbands).

    We spend three wonderful days at Susan's place and had a great time. The location was just as the pictures show. Right on the water with shore line that our 2 and 4 year old granddaughters loved, as they played and the swing was a big hit. I can't say enought about the place, it was just want we were looking for as we relaxed with family for a short get away. Laura - Fort Collins, CO

    My family rented this home when coming to Bellingham for a memorial service. I wanted a place for us to be together, have a spot for my children to run around, and just sit and talk without having to go from restaurant to restaurant. It was perfect! My children loved the tree swing and the yard. We got to sit on the patio and enjoy the views ofthe lake, drink wine and catch-up. The home was well situated, 10-12 minutes south of town. Their was enough space inside for everyone to be comforable, eat dinner and relax. Did not even use the living room area with all 9 of us hanging out during the evening. We will consider this home next time we are in town.

    The property is lovely, it's everything described and shown in the VRBO layout ; but this doesn't truly represent how gorgeous and perfect it is! The house has a beautiful layout with wonderful water views from oversized windows in many of the rooms. The property shows great pride in ownership inside and out as it's very well cared for. The house lay out is great, a well appointed kitchen, wall-to-wall carpeting, a Jacuzi in the master bathroom, tasteful art, and the outside deck is fantastic . The latter has a beautiful outside dining area with a gas grill, and another cozy area of cushioned seating surrounding a gas fire pit which we enjoyed each morning and evening we were there. The waterside property goes right down to a beautiful lake with easy access to put in the kayaks . Our family went out in early morning, and again at sunset; it was all so peaceful. And to make it even more perfect each morning when we sat out on the deck with our coffee, there was the sight and sound of Canadian Geese flying above. It was heaven!!

    Having a professional background in property management for luxury vacation homes in Newport Beach, CA.... my expectations can be a bit high. This particular lake front property exceeded my expectations. There is certainly pride in ownership, the home has beautiful finishes, a spacious layout, large front and back yards, and a rope swing the kids could not get enough of!!!! The home is well appointed with everything you would need in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. The owner's kindly allow guests to use their outdoor hot tub, kayaks and paddle boards... other than grocery shopping, we never needed to leave the home. Our family will forever and fondly remember our time at this home, it was a wonderful way to spend quality time together in a gorgeous setting. Additionally, the owner's were a delight to work with from start to finish. I highly recommend this vacation rental. Should this rental be available in future years, we would love to return.

    This was a great location for our family - parents, elementary school children and elderly grandparent. The property is right on the lake and with the kayaks, paddleboards and, life jackets provided we were able to be in and out of the water all day, while my father in law could rest inside or on the deck. The house is all on one level, very well equipped in a quiet cul de sac- great for the kids to ride their bikes. There is a huge deck with two sets of furniture- would also be great for a larger party than ours and for entertaining. We had a great time and will surely be back.

    The property was clean and as described if not better. All amenities were in good condition. The owners were helpful open and honest. Lake was warm and the skiing was great. I'd reccomend but it may get in the way of my family using again. We enjoyed our time at the property very much.

    We were so thrilled to be able to rent this home!! It has everything you can imagine. Everything from electric can openers to hot tubs to fire pits! This home is almost better equipped than my own! You won't need to bring anything with you, just your clothes! We had such a great time on the lake. There are kayaks and paddle boards. You would need to provide your own motor boat though! Ha! The skiing is amazing, the lake is warm and calm all the time! The fog that maybe present in the morning, lifts by sun-up! We felt so at home ..we truly didn't want to leave. Shopping close by. We stocked up the first day and really didn't need to go out to get much more. We BBQ`d everynight and ate like kings. The kids had the best time and didn`t even turn on the TV! Which by the way ..there are 2 plus a wii! The owners are super nice and really all they want in return is for you to have a great time while in their home! We felt so relaxed and enjoyed the ``lake life`` so so much! I would definetly recommend this property...well maybe not! Don`t want competiton for dates!! Just kidding! If you are looking for a waterfront property where you can dip your feet, ski, wakeboard, paddelboard or kyak..this place is just awseome! Only 20 min past Bellingham!

    We headed up to this house in Lake Samich just looking to get out of the Southern California heat for a long guys weekend. We have rented using VRBO several times before and it was immediately obvious that this house is well cared for. The hot tub, fishing from the dock and the kayaks were defintely highlights our our stay. We very much enjoyed out time at the house and look forward to coming back again sometime in the near future. Thanks for making us feel welcome in your home.

    I am writing my second review on this home as this was our second time renting this year. Our first trip was like a second honeymoon for my husband and I. This trip we brought our kids and I can't tell you how much they LOVED this location. We have a 5 and a 9 year old and I had such ease at this home. My kids spent all day going from the beach to the incredible rope swing! Back and forth all day long. I have never had my kids first of all get along so well and second be so tired at the end of the day! We had such great family moments going out for kayak rides and trying out the paddle boards. Jumping off the dock into the refreshing water. The lake was calm almost all day and my husband was able to enjoy his morning ski. We truly enjoyed every moment at this home. Well minus packing and actually leaving! I can not say enough about this home. From the furniture, to the 2 tv's (which I don't think my kids sat in front of once), to the hot tub, to the patio furniture, this home is almost better than my own. If you are looking for an amazing vacation, whether it be with your entire family or just a quiet trip for 2, you will not find a better location and home than this. We have been using VRBO for years and so many times you see the picutres of the location and the pictures make it look so much better. With this home, the pictures do not do the property justice. I highly recommond renting this property. The owners are very welcoming, very friendly and really just want you to enjoy their home. We will be back! Thank you so much for giving us such great family memories in your home!

    Absolutely wonderful home on the lake. Comfortable and spacious both inside and out. Plenty of things to do for both kids and adults. Sitting around the outside fire at night was the perfect way to end the day. We will definitely be back!!!

    We stayed at the house for a few weeks this summer, and by the end of our stay, we didn't want to leave! The house is lovely - very well laid out with three bedrooms, laundry, and large, open living areas. The high ceilings make the rancher style feel very open, and there is lots of natural light from the large windows. The kitchen was beautiful and fully equipped with everything you could need, as was the rest of the property. Towels, sheets and toilet paper were all provided, which made the stay so much easier than if you had to bring your own. The outside areas were well equipped as well, with a gorgeous deck complete with a bbq, a propane fire pit and sitting area. Our daughter spent hours on the rope swing in the tree, and we all really appreciated the outside hot tub after time in the lake. The kayaks and paddleboards that the Heers provided were lots of fun to try out as well. All in all, it is a fabulous place, and we hope to spend time there again in the future. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

    My husband and I rented this property two seperate times this year. Our first trip was a getaway in March just to have a trip of peace and quiet and I can't tell you how much this home provides peace and quiet. The morning fog was beautiful to watch lift while sitting enjoying our coffee in the hot tub. Such a tranquile location with beautiful views. We could not have asked for a better location to enjoy some away time. The house is beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable. You can tell there is pride in ownership. This is a home, not just a rental property. The kitchen was fantastic, beds are comfortable and I really really enjoyed the jacuzzi in the master ensuite, although I do have to say I spent more time in the hot tub. The outdoor firepit is such an added bonus! Sitting outside at night with a blanket enjoying a glass of wine was a nightly event. The outdoor furniture is so inviting! Everything is very close by but at the same time you feel like you can just forget about everything while enjoying the home. After our first trip, we couldn't wait to come back when the lake is swimmable with our kids! Will be coming back year after year if it's available! This honestly felt like a second honeymoon!
