Ocean breezes & a flock of wild parrots greet you in the morning as you sip coffee on the private back deck. Enjoy a dip in the jacuzzi before your day. You walk 2 blocks to fine or casual dining as well as night life and boutique shopping. Belmont Pier is 3 blocks away for fishing & the marinas can be reached by a short bus ride for whale watching, deep sea fishing & other activities. 1 block to catch the bus to take you less than 15 minutes to the downtown convention area or Shoreline Village. The house is midway between LAX & the Orange county airports, about 35 minutes to each. Disneyland, Hollywood, Universal studios & Knott's Berry Farm are all less than an hour. Ample street parking.

I brought my German Shepard down to Long Beach for an extended weekend trip to visit some old college friends and get some beach time in before starting a new job. The house was perfect. Roxy loved the big yard and the fact that the dog beach was a short (less than one mile) walk away. The decor is cozy and the space was large enough that I could host my friends for dinner. The neighborhood was quiet, parking was not an issue (which can be hit and miss in Long Beach), and the fact that Second Street is only a few blocks away was an added bonus. We had a fabulous and relaxing time. What really made the trip was Dawn. She was quite possibly the most accommodating owner I have ever had the pleasure to rent from. After learning that we would be arriving late the first night, she made sure to stock the house with doggie treats, bags, and a bottle of wine (which was welcome after the 6 hour drive). She even offered to go grocery shopping for us so that we would have one less thing to worry about when we got there. I will definitely be staying at Dawn's the next time I visit the LB.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Loved this house.Decorated very nicely. Location was easy walking distance to the beach. Lots of nice extras - beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, paper products, etc. Appreciated the little touches bottle of wine, fresh fruit, chocolates at bedside. Enjoyed the hot tub. Plenty of on street parking. Property was clean and well maintained. Grandkids enjoyed the movie selection.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had an amazing stay at this house in Long Beach. The location is awesome, close to the beach and 2nd street. The owner made us feel very welcome and we appreciated the holiday decorations. The house is very comfortable and we enjoyed the large yard and hot tub as well. We hope to be back and would recommend this house.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This was a wonderful stay in Long Beach! We felt very well taken care off. The owner did everything to make it an enjoyable experience including driving us around at first to introduce the area. We also got bikes to cruise around. Place was more than we could hope for.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: I'm retired and enjoy travelling & sharing info when people visit our area of Southern California. I'm an animal lover & we have a dog park at the beach within walking distance. The shopping & dining areas allow dogs on leashes.This is a very neighborly type place, like where I was raised in the mid-west.
Why the Owner Chose Long Beach:
I bought here because in under 2 hours you can be on a ski slope and in 10 minutes you can walk to the beach. Mexico is 3 hours & Las Vegas 4 1/2 hours away. The Pacific coast highway heading up or down the coast is also a beautiful drive with lovely villages.
