· Bright two bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment with a private terrace, on the top floor, with elevator. The apartment sleeps up to 5 people on 2 queen beds and one single bed.
Description of location -
· In the historic Eixample, built 1850-1910 during the golden age of the city, when the emigrants to the Americas where returning and investing their earnings back in the city. The beautiful buildings, most of them recently restored, reflect an age of plenty.
Transportation -
· The apartment can be reached by taxi from the airport. It is close to the Verdaguer metro station, which sits on two metro lines. There are plenty of bus lines and also the taxi lane runs in front of the building.

· We are a small family company. Lauren is from Dallas, TX and Fernando is from Barcelona, Spain. Elif and Marco work in our apartments in Istanbul, Turkey. Dmytro and Amet work in our apartments in Kiev, Ukraine.

We stayed in the Penthouse apartment in Barcelona for a week in November 2012 and absolutely loved it! Excellent location, great views, clean and recently remodeled. Very spacious, particularly for Barcelona. Loved the area of the city which was convenient walking to so many sites, shops, restaurants, parks, and near metro. We also, enjoyed being in a more residential neighborhood. Felt much safer than if I was in a high tourist traffic area. Communication with Lauren prior to our stay was fantastic and she answered my many questions. Only downside was the Wifi was intermittent but I think a new router might resolve the problem as it was always needing to be rebooted. Other than that - PERFECT! Thanks for a great stay in Barcelona!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We stayed in this apartment with another couple and our 17 year old son, The layout was perfect for 2 families and the apartment had so many charming features like the little tower room and the terrace off the living room and 2nd bedroom. The location was excellent, close to the metro, shopping and restaurants. It was in more of a residential areA which was nice because it was quiet and had an authentic Barcelona feel. We also loved the rooftop garden for our evening cocktails!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

My husband found out last minute that he had a business trip to Barcelona during our children's spring break. We decided to try to travel as a family and see the city together - having never been there. This apartment was exactly what we were looking for. Separate bed and bath for kids and parents. There was a great market and grocery store two blocks away. We made dinner in the apartment the first night and had breakfast there every morning before exploring the city all day and into the night. The metro station was a block and a half away. I was a little hesitant about the slanted ceilings because I couldn't tell if we'd be hitting our heads or not, but they were a non-issue. The exposed beams, slanted ceilings, windows and terrace really gave the place great character -- and everything inside is new and clean.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.
