Welcome to Naples, Maine located 35 miles west of Portland. The home is located on Long Lake with over 100 ft of gorgeous sandy beach. Not only is it sandy, it has a gradual entry (excellent for young kids) and a long dock, which is perfect for your boat. No boat? Not a problem, if you enjoy water sports then you are in an excellent location. Within walking distance you are able to rent a boat (right next door at Long Lake Marina), jet-skis, parasail or take a nice scenic seaplane ride.
If you prefer to sit back and relax, take a scenic ride on the Songo River Queen, a 90 foot long paddle-wheel boat that will take you on a cruise from Long Lake, across Brandy Pond and through Songo Lock. Oh, did I forget to mention that there is over 40 miles of waterway to boat on?
Not into water sports? Well then grab a book from the library located across the street and have a seat under the Weeping Willow tree right next to the beach (My favorite spot). Within short walking distance are shops, restaurants with outdoor seating and a long causeway for a scenic walk. Also, for the golfer, the Naples Golf and Country Club is only 1.3 miles away.
We welcome most dogs and would love to know more about your buddy. We have a St. Chow and a Chocolate Lab. We accept titers for proof of vaccination.
Now about the home. The home was built in 1850 and has been totally renovated with beautiful hardwood floors, high ceilings, four fireplaces that we plan to restore, new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, one and three-quarter bathrooms, five bedrooms (one king, one queen, one full, two twin, one full futon, and one queen futon in the sunroom). We also have cable, high definition TV's, and wifi modem for your enjoyment (House rule, no checking e-mails from the office while vacationing!!!). The view from the back of the house speaks for itself. We would be delighted to send additional pictures.
