  We were lucky enough to stay at the Bears Hug cabin for the entire month of April! We found the cabin to be cozy, immaculate and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need was there; basically your clothes and food were all we needed to have. The location is ideal to Lake Lure and is private, quiet, lovely and scenic. We fished a few times in the surrounding lakes. It has a lovely gazebo close by which we enjoyed during an afternoon rain. The master bedroom and bath are beautiful. The huge tub and tile shower with rain shower head was nice. The king bed was extremely comfortable! I was concerned since I have back problems. We loved the back deck as well as the front deck to bird watch, read and eat lunch! . We had visits from wild turkeys, numerous birds, rabbits, squirrels and a bobcat! Even had a Carolina Wren nest and lay five eggs in a Geranium we put on front deck railing. Awesome! I can't emphasis how easy it was to correspond with the owners, Paul and Barbara. They were very sweet. I have passed along this website to friends and family who came to visit us at the cabin. They loved the place. We didn't have a single problem with anything during the entire month. We plan on staying here on our trips home to NC from Florida each year. Thanks Paul and Barb!

  We stayed at Bear Hugs Cabin for a Fathers Day trip. We loved this cabin. The kitchen was great. The three bathrooms and bedrooms were very nice. Everything was clean, new, and good quality. We used the fire pit out back to roast some marshmallows, and we enjoyed the herb garden. The location was great and the neighborhood was nice. We would love to come back and would recommend this cabin to anyone.

  We just returned from our stay at Bear Hugs Cabin, and we are already talking about a return trip. My wife and I shared a great time with my daughter, son in law, and 6 month old granddaughter. The cabin is very spacious, extremely comfortable and well furnished, and was spotless when we arrived. There was nothing that we needed that we could not find, or wasn't supplied, right down to the book on the coffee table which is filled with useful information about the surrounding area. The pictures of Bear Hugs really don't do justice to the property, and I strongly recommend a stay at Bear Hugs. You won't be disappointed. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. My thanks to Paul and Barbara for allowing us to share their cabin, and also a big 'thank you' from all of us for the nice welcoming gift of chocolates.

  We enjoyed our time at the cabin, nice community, penty of items for cooking a good meal and staying at the cabin and relaxing. Well maintained, everything work as advertised. I liked having the internet acess that way I could keep up with my work and not be behind when I returned home. The owner was verry helpful. Good experience !

  This cabin is so cozy and relaxing! It is perfect and the owners have thought of every amenity! You will want for nothing at this cabin! I highly recommend it for all! The lot is surrounded by beautiful trees and the stars at night are georgeous to look at. So peaceful and just what I needed to relax and unwind! Thank you for sharing this little slice of heaven with others!

  A beautiful home and grounds. The front porch and back patio offer private and relaxing spots because of the surrounding trees and landscaping. I appreciated the privacy on this large lot and I relaxed better because of the garden setting. The home also sits at the end of a long driveway and this also provides privacy. The inside offered a large den and adjoining dining area with comfortable chairs and sofas. The morning sun lights these two rooms. Again, a very restful setting. The neighborhood is a great place to take walks because there is very little traffic and the mountain views are fanstatic. I would certainly recommend this home!
