Laguna Beach house description
The cottage is convenient to great restaurants, shopping, art galleries and nightlife. It’s all here, and all within a few blocks. Should you decide to venture further, catch the free Trolley to town...arriving every 15 minutes a block away.
In the morning enjoy your breakfast on the sunny deck or in the garden with beautiful ocean views. In the evening, watch the sun set over Catalina. Life doesn't get much better than this.
The Cottage has two bedrooms with billowy duvets and high thread count linen. There is one roomy bathroom in the main house. The connected garden house (available in addition for a higher rate) has a full bathroom with shower and an additional huge master bedroom taking the sleeping accommodations up to 8.
The charming vintage 1928 cottage features hardwood floors throughout, cathedral open-rafter ceilings, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, two bedrooms each with a queen-size bed, a day bed in the sunroom, and a dining area that seats 10. The lush gardens provide a tranquil retreat.
The decor has a chic, comfortable vibe with original art on the walls. The bookcases are filled with great reading, games and treasures. Everything needed for fun at the beach has been provided, including surfboards.
Built during Laguna’s beginnings as artists' colony, the historic Cottage was completed in 1928. Lovingly maintained to honor its unique heritage, the rustic craftsman cottage, built with redwood throughout, has hand blown windows, hardwood floors, iron door hardware, plentiful skylights, and original artwork. The cottage was recently refurbished to add many amenities including a modern gourmet kitchen and commercial appliances.
From the idyllic neighborhood, you're on the water in a flash--just two blocks north or south--or stroll to elegant or casual restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. Nearby are eclectic shops and boutiques, and of course, numerous galleries for almost any taste and style.
You're in the middle of Laguna's favorite resident beaches - Woods Cove and Victoria Beach - for sunning and great surfing, boogie boarding and skim boarding or sunning and ocean swimming. These are the coves for which Laguna Beach is famous.
Walk to some of the best restaurants in Orange County. Enjoy the nightlife. Enjoy the Festival of the Arts with the Pageant of the Masters and the Sawdust Festival in the summer or take in a play at the Laguna Playhouse. At Main Beach you can watch some of the best beach volleyball in the U.S. and some of the best urban 'Pick Up' basketball in Southern California. .

This is a beautiful cottage to stay in and the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 were for the following reasons: 1. Difficult to reach the owner in a timely fashion 2. The second bedroom is very cluttered and dark compared to the first bedroom It is exactly like the pictures show and in a great location. A little dollhouse!

Heaven on Earth! My family descended on this sweet cottage after a long day of travel. And we exhaled. It is simply the most comfortable, elegant, delicious, indulgent, functional, private, glorious hideaway. Complete with heavenly beds! We loved the place, with its sweeping views and fresh ocean breezes. There is an enormous garden, complete with hammock and rocking chairs. The kitchen is killer with the huge gas stove and beautiful kitchenware – green glassware, bright pottery, endless tools. This is the place!

Great luck in Laguna Beach
Great luck in Laguna Beach
Like a favorite swimming hole, one is reluctant to call out the marvels of a vacation rental least it become less available for booking again. Yet, it would be less than gracious to fail to praise one of the best VBRO rentals we have enjoyed. The photographs, while not unrepresentative, do not give much of an idea of the rich interior you will experience. Known as “shabby chic” to interior designers, this brilliant set of rooms with artifacts, bedroom with a sofa, paintings, and more is a feast for the eyes and a comfort to the body. The kitchen is equally brilliant, with a six burner stove and flawless oven of the make and model that Julia Child used in Santa Barbara. Every imaginable implement, pot and pan is there to use, along with a bonanza of serving dishes and glassware. The huge wrap around deck blends ocean views with incredible landscaping, and a towering monkey tree that usually sports a lazy hummingbird, the first I’ve seen who would rather land than fly. The wireless Internet has generous, fast bandwidth from which we streamed NPR. The garage door is narrow, and requires caution to enter and mindfulness of PCH traffic (we used our emergency blinkers to alert on-coming cars when maneuvering into it). Walk to Wood’s Cove for a lovely, swimmable beach. There may be better in Laguna Beach, but after seven rentals, we don’t know it.

Why the Owner Chose Laguna Beach:
Laguna beach is a 'pinch me' kind of town. I've been here for years, and I still can't believe I live here! My kids went to school just up the street (everything in this town is 'just up the street'), I started my business downtown, and I meet new people every day. It's a sweet place to never leave...
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I'm a gardener. Imagine a garden that faces the ocean. Every spot in the garden has a view.
