The log cabin/home sits in the very back of a gated community on an acre of land on the top of a small mountain. The property is surrounded by forest land owned by the Corp of Engineers. The private retreat is at the end of a community road with lots of privacy and room. During the years we have owned the house, everyone has been pleased with the house. It is a great value.
The cabin is 2500 square feet with two stories. The upstairs is comprised of a huge great room with windows everywhere and a 20 foot tall vaulted ceiling with wooden rafters. The great room has a wood burning fireplace with a gas starter. We have firewood at the house. The upstairs has a great room, two bedrooms (king and queen), a full bath, the dining room, and the kitchen. And what a kitchen it is! The kitchen is fully updated with all stainless steel equipment like our Viking gas range, dishwasher, and side by side refrigerator. The counters are granite and our cabinets are made from restored barn wood. The kitchen has an island with bar stools that opens into the great room which makes for a great atmosphere. The entire upstairs opens out on to a wonderful deck surrounded by trees and nature with views off the front and back of the house of wooded valleys. We have a stereo system with bose speakers inside and out, cd changer, and ipod docking station.
The bathrooms have granite counters and natural stone showers.
The downstairs is comprised of a huge den and the third bedroom. The downstairs floors are travertine tile (the upstairs floors are hardwoods). The downstairs den has a ping pong table, a wrap around couch, gas fireplace, satellite TV, DVD, Sony Playstation, and a movie collection. Imagine a great playroom/entertainment room. The downstairs bedroom has a great king bed and a bunk bed that is great for young people.
The house is located in a gated community with private lake access, a boat dock, a park, a walking path, and a "modern" country store for your convenience. Boat slips available for $10 a night

$200/weekend night, 3 night minimum stay required.
$150/weeknight, 3 night minimum stay required.
