We really enjoyed our stay here! The condo was a decent size for two people, and has a pull-out couch and extra linens if you have a couple more. The building was right on the ocean and had a pool and hot tub. It was within a short walking distance to many restaurants, clubs, and shopping but was set apart from the crazy, loud part of south beach (we were there during spring break). The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. You can definitely book with confidence at one of Lee's places. He was great to deal with and easily accessible. He answered every single time I called him and I know he would have quickly addressed any issues we had (but we did not have any!) I will rent from Lee again!.....By Brittany from Knoxville, TN on 3/18/2011 for a stay in 3/1/2011

This was our second stay in this building and our first in this flat. We were very pleased with everything. We chose the location (again) because it is basically "on the beach" (including ocean-view both from bed- and living-room) yet very close to shops and nightlife of Mami Beach while being a really quiet location. Lee and his employees provided us with great local support, were very accessible and helpful so we were nicely taken care of. We agree with the previous reviewers in terms of shape of the building and the pool area. It was in odd shape in 2012 already while we were told then that improvements are underway. But basically we found things to be worse this year i.e. the bike rack was removed and also some of the deck chairs etc. seem to have gone missing plus there is a dogy tool shed in the backyard now. Obviously this is not Lee's fault. The owners of the building seem to fail to actually get things done around the building and unfortunately leave things getting worse. The flat itself is fine though, and you can always overlook the pool area and go to the beach instead.... So location and location manager are highly recommendable and we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back some time soon!Owner response: Thanks for the kind comments....And regarding the condition of the building, yes, it would be nice if the Condominium Association would make improvements, but i factor this into the price...and I think it should also be noted that the Unit Ioffer is only one of four in the building with a direct view to the ocean, rather than in to the walls or windows of the neighboring building

My wife and I just returned from a week's stay at 335 Ocean Drive, and were thoroughly impressed. The owner, Lee Baron, was a pleasure to deal with, and had his assistant waiting to meet us when we arrived from an evening flight. The apartment is perfectly located: directly on the ocean beach, close to the activity center of South Beach, but out of range of its all-night noise. The apartment had everything you could want, including beach chairs and umbrella for a comfortable time at the beach. The pool was great, with a tree-lined patio far superior to some of the larger complexes nearby. Next time we're in South Beach, we'll certainly return!Did you find this review helpful? I stayed in this property recently for WMC and it was a great location for SoBe. We were within walking distance or a short taxi away from the major spots. The apartment building is older and appears to be under construction, but the unit we were in was fine and for the most part, well-kept and clean. It's a good place if you are staying with a few friends and don't want to spend too much money to stay in SoBe. Only feedback I would share is to potentially paint or replace the bathtub - it was clean, which was great but it may be just me as I'm pretty picky with how a bathroom looks. The bathtub looked like it was chipping away, but at least it was clean so that's all that matters! Lee and his team were great to work with and always responsive! :-) I already recommended this property to another friend!Owner response: Thanks.

I rented Lee's place as a Winter Getaway for my wife and daughter. The entire rental process was quick and easy and Lee always answered my questions and concerns very quickly!! My wife and daughter loved the place and everything that was in the description of the property was true!! They loved the apt. which was very cozy and clean, the pool, the closeness to the beach, as well as restaurants and other amenities!! Since the entire process was done with such ease and with the property being such a great place, I would certainly recommend Lee's place to others and hopefully the next time around, I will be able to make the trip!! Thanks again Lee.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Great location is its best selling point.. walk out back gate of complex and you are basically on the beach. Apartment is basic, but adequate. My wife, stepdaughter and I resided there for six days. While there the refrigerator was not holding a cold enough temperature and Lee, the manager, was responsive and replaced it. The building is drab and in mediocre shape. Heated pool was nice. When looking for a place, I feel the advertisement online and email description from Lee were accurate. We also arrived very late Sunday night due to a flight delay out of Boston, and Lee's assistant met us at the apartment past midnight and was very accommodating.Owner response: I think that this guest made the most important point....Great location and great value relative to anything in South Beach at a similar price....And a rare apartment that offers a direct ocean view on Ocean Drive without the street noise. This building is older and in need of renovation, but the apartment is clean, quiet and a short walk to many restaurants, shopping etc.

My family and I have just returned from a relaxing 2 weeks in Lee's apartment. The apartment is ideally located right on Ocean Drive and on the beach! It has a fantastic kids playground almost next door, along with a Starbucks so was able to get my Chai tea latte fix, even on Christmas Day (the Americans don't take days off!). The exterior of the apartment needs some work and in fact, while we were there, work was being conducted which meant that there was scaffolding around the pool area, which was a bit unsightly and the smell of tar was overwhelming on a few days. It also made the pool area a bit dirty and loungers were in a bit of a state. That said, the pool was heated, which was gorgeous. The elevator broke down a few times but never for more than 2 days at anytime. Not a problem as apartment on 2nd floor but we have 2 toddlers so made it a tad more work for us. The apartment itself is very homely and Lee replaced the sofa bed and living room furniture the day we left so it now looks brighter and more roomy. The bathroom and kitchen are bit on the old and basic side. The kitchen could do with a few more plates and bowls and utensils . We had to ask for a pan as only one was provided and it was broken but Lee was very efficient and responsed to all our requests very promptly and provided us with replacements. In fact, Lee was extremely helpful and flexible and hade our first rental experience abroad an extremely positive one. It was great to have washing drying facilities ($1.50 for wash and $1.50 for dry). So to recap, fab location and apartment nice. The only recommendation would be to replace the pans and provide a few more plates, bowls and kitchen utensils. Also it would be useful to provide one more set of bed linen. We were there for 2 weeks with small kids and only had the set on the beds which meant that if we had any accidents, we would have to wash and dry immediately. Finally, the kitchen and bathroom could do with modernizing but this isn't a priority and imagine that most people staying wil spend little time cooking and in the apartment.Owner response: In addition to the upgrade of the Living Room Furniture, I also replaced the dishes, glasses, etc...and in general have done what I can to make this apartment a comfortable and affordable place to stay. I have factored the exterior building work in to the prices, so that while it is true that completion of the outside work and future interior/corridor work will be a welcome change, the value as compared to anything in the area is here now.

I needed a clean, comfortable, good-vibe place to work on a writing project with as much ocean access as possible. I wanted a kitchen to help keep down cost and to allow me to stay in my "writing cave" as much as I wanted. I needed to be able to afford this. My stay at 325 Ocean was a perfect combination of all of these. During the stormy days, I could sit in my living room and write while gazing at the waves. Between squalls I could walk on the beach. Then, during the sunny days, I could carry one of the comfy beach chairs out and sit on the beach. I could open the window and experience sunrise on the beach, the rustle of palms and sleepy waves all mine, while SoBe slept. Lee was accessible, flexible, respectful and down to earth. More!Owner response: Very nice to hear things like this every now and then...but note that the address is 335 Ocean Drive, not 325....Thank you.

How lucky was I the day I came across this listing while looking for a place to stay while in South Beach? The apartment was wonderfully modern and yet very quaint and comfortable. It came with everything you'd need for a wonderful stay. Very clean and the building owners were, while I was there, re-doing the outside of the building so I'm certain when I go back it will be like new on the outside too. The really cool thing is the entire neighborhood is being renovated. The Art Deco District is definately hoppin'! The owner Lee was helpful, he told me some really great places to eat and very caring as to my satisfaction, making certain that the construction was not an issue and that I wasn't being disturbed. An absolutely fabulous location, a great pool, steps to the beach and just a couple blocks to the crazy madness of South Beach. I loved every minute of it and I can't wait to go back! Thank you again Lee, will be seeing you soon.Owner response: Thanks...always nice to hear nice things.

We stayed at the condo for a week.We came with four people and a little dog.The condo has a bedroom, and a living room with bed-couch,which was very comfortable. We didn't need any more room.We really loved the view on the beach from our window ,because only few units in the building had that view. The pool was really nice, clean, and warm,we spent there a lot of time, usually evenings. The building is a little old,but inside the unit is clean, and you could find everything you need. The location is the best!Close to everywhere! We parked our car on the parking, which was really close to the apartment, and we paid a special, low price thanks to Lee's parking passes. It was very convenient for us!I would definitly rent this place again, because of it's great location, great price, great view, and a friendly owner.Owner response: Thank you.

Posted on Trip Adviser. It was our first time self catering and we could not have asked for anything better. Lee (the Manager) was a pleasure to deal with from the very first email (of which there were many) to the last phone call on check out he could not have been more helpfull. The apartement is perfectley placed for peace and quite when you want it and at the same time only two blocks from the action of South Beach. It has every thing you would have in your own home for day to day living with the added bonus of beautifull sea views. The only problem we encountered was when we got there the cooker was not working right,we phoned Lee and the next day there was a brand new cooker fitted. I could go on but all you have to do is read the discription Lee has placed on this apartment and you get it all plus!!. If we return to Miami and I hope we do we will definitely deal with Lee again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4
