Isle of Palms house description
This beautiful waterfront house is perfect for any group of people. There is an isolated bedroom with two twin beds and bathroom downstairs off the garage that serves as a great way to separate kids from parents or allow someone privacy.
On the main level, there are three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds and the third has a double bed. The two bathrooms on the main floor both come equipped with a jacuzzi tub. The bathroom off the master also has a stand-up shower with a jacuzzi and a skylight that can be opened and closed for fresh air.
The kitchen is open to the dining room and living room. The views from the main level are phenomenal, as the huge windows allow for a 180 degree view of the open water. The bistro style countertop with two bar chairs make dining a pleasure! One can casually dine off the kitchen, have a more formal dining experience in the main dining room, or set up dinner on the spacious table outside on the balcony.
There is also an expansive bar area with more glassware than one knows what to do with. Another separate ice maker in the bar area solidifies the ease of entertaining.
Marble floors, a huge flatscreen TV mounted on the wall, and cushy chairs and ottamans make relaxing easy. Upstairs, there are two twin beds and an office table and chairs. Equipped with a TV and lots of movies to choose from, it's nice to have the option to retreat to another space (also fabulous for children-nothing like a great movie and popcorn to do the babysitting!).
There is a pool with a protected view of the open water. Off the pool deck, there is an enclosed outside shower, a great way to clean off after a day on the beach or lounging by the pool. The pool will be renovated in the next few months, and the pool deck expanded!!
This house is located in a wonderful area. Only minutes from the beach, access to restaurants and bars by boat, and a quick drive to Sullivans and Mt. Pleasant, a fifteen-twenty minute drive to downtown Charleston.
Always different shades of gorgeous with varying cloud formations, the sunsets never cease to amaze, so be sure to witness the sun melting into the horizon.

Charming and Perfect location!
Charming and Perfect location!
Our family stayed in this charming home the week of June 2 2012. The home was cleaned prior to our arrival and fresh flowers were left for us. (nice touch) Suzanne Hancock was great to work with and she provided excellent commmunication prior, during and after our stay. She even had her fiance' bring us mudworms for bait. The dock and view is probably the best feature of the home. My family loves to fish and that provided many hours of our entertainment. My 86 year old father is blind and he thoroughly enjoyed the dock and felt very safe on it. He caught many redfish to his delight! We rented a golf cart and that was nice transporting our beach equipment 3 blocks to the entrance of the beach access. The private pool was nice but it is older and is in need of resurfacing. Suzanne had told us the home was built in 1982 so we knew it was not as luxurious as the newer homes. The downstairs bedroom in the basement/garage which would have provided two of our twin beds that we had planned for were too musty smelling so we improvised with the children's sleeping arrangements. The room also did not have air conditioning that worked or ventilation other than the sliding door/screen. There were some signs of palmetto bugs/roaches but for the most part living at the beach that is to be expected. You can tell that the home had been treated prior to our arrival. There were plenty of linens, towels and the beds were comfortable. Suzanne brought in a new coffee pot and toaster oven the first day we arrived and that was nice. We had plenty of kitchen supplies to feed everyone many meals while we were there. We did bring our own griddle for the pancake breakfasts and grilled cheese sandwiches! The outside deck table and chairs needs replacing as it weathered from the SC heat. Overall, we all were pleased with our experience and even our dog enjoyed the home as she loved watching the seagulls and egrets fly overhead! We would consider renting this home again even with some minor issues. You can tell that the owners truly love their home and have shared many wonderful memories there. We already miss the amazing sunsets!

About the owner: My brother, sister, and I own the house together. I manage the house with my husband, and we live in Mount Pleasant. I teach Yoga at Serenity Now Yoga and also at Blue Turtle Yoga. I would be thrilled to do private Yoga classes on the beach or anywhere around the house upon request. I would also be happy to make recommendations for places to eat, things to see and do, etc. After a long day, it's always nice to cook in or walk twenty yards to the Boat House for dinner. As the house has been my family's house since I was little, I have so many wonderful memories and hope that you also may have the opportunity to experience the wonder and beauty at the Isle of Palms!
Why the Owner Chose Isle of Palms:
The Isle of Palms house is in the perfect location: walking distance to the beach but, more importantly, right on the deep water! Isolated but not far removed (just over the connector from Sullivan's), it's easy to escape and yet also be a part of the energy in Charleston.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Sunsets, Boat Rides, Surfing, Swimming in pool or ocean, and Jacuzzis.... Newly renovated pool and deck!!!!!
