Lake Glenville offers boat rentals, all water activities and picnicking; a great way to spend the afternoon. Horseback riding facilities are close by as is water slides, waterfalls, shopping and many historical sights. The large yard has a fire ring for a night time bonfire and roasting hotdogs or marshmallows. The views are spectacular and the air pure and clean.

Family Week Away was perfect and mostly due to this lovely home and magnificent views. The mountain top views are remarkable you can sit on the wrap around porch and just relax. We have stayed at this beautiful retreat in every season and every trip has been wonderful. This house has so much space and is so beautiful. Both inside and outside! I would highly reccommend this house for large family gatherings, and intimate getaways. It is truly the best of both worlds!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Excellent location for our family get together. Bedrooms are large, fireplace in loving area a great plus since nighttime can be a little chilly. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. There are lots of activities within a short drive. We especially liked the white water rafting, horseback riding, rafting and of course sightseeing. The waterfalls were lovely and hiking to and from them a nice way to exercise. The Biltmore was a well worth day trip. A bit of a drive to Asheville but a very scenic trip. This is a great location for two people or 20. A great way to start the day with a cup of coffee and watch the hummingbirds from the large porch. We will definitely request this location again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My family loved the outdoor space where the boys could play outside and learn about nature. Roasting marshmellows on the campfire, playing flashlight tag, and sledding down the slopes are some of the fond memories we have.
