Ko’olau Hale is a uniquely spectacular, 3,000 sq.ft. single-family home on two acres on the North Shore of Oahu. This new home is high on the Ko'olau Mountain hillside with sweeping views of the blue Pacific. There are three + bedrooms, two large bathrooms (master bath has a double shower), a large loft library/office area that with sitting area that can be used as a 4th bedroom, large open living, dining and kitchen area, 22 foot ceilings, large raised-hearth, stone fireplace and a wrap-around lanai. Our family enjoys living here year-round except when we travel to visit family on the mainland in the summer. Then it's your turn to experience the magic!
Ko’olau Homestead is in Hau'ula, Hawaii, a the small, ancient, fishing town on Oahu's North Shore near the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort, Sacred Falls, Sunset Beach, Pipeline, Kualoa Ranch, Waimea Valley and Beach, Hauula Loop Trail, Chinaman's Hat (Mokoli'li Island), Byodo Temple, Kahana Bay, Gunstock Ranch and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast/Windward side of Oahu, Hawaii where the Ko’olau Mountains touch the blue Pacific Ocean. Our community of single-family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants (Papa Ole's, Korean BBQ, Surfin Taco's), is very different from the high rise, retail & tourist center of Waikiki. With hiking trails (Hau'ula Loop) and unspoiled reefs, we offer a glimpse of the Hawaii of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu & Waikiki. We are confident that you will enjoy our spectacular Hawaii home and it's location.
Ko'olau Homestead has all the amenities found in luxury homes: large rooms, high ceilings made of mahogany, large ohia wood pillars, lava and granite rock fireplace that was custom-built by the owner, circular staircase to the loft, large loft with spectacular views to the ocean and mountains, whole living area has Pacific ocean views, spacious outdoor lanai, cover lanai, outdoor eating areas, large antique dining table and chairs inside with views of Pacific and the fireplace, exquisite marbles in kitchen, bathroom counters and showers, sattilo tile floors throughout and on lanai area, stainless steel railings on lanais, private, peaceful setting far away from other homes, traffic noises...just experience the ocean breezes and waves coaxing you to relax and enjoy the magic of this unique, tropical wonderland we call Hawaii .
Ko’olau Homestead is available from June 11 to July 18th. We do have an onsite caretaker that maintain the gardens, mow grass and care for the fish ponds.

Ko'olau Homestead is located high on the hillside of the Ko'olau Mountains, overlooking the small town of Hau'ula with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. There's not a better location on this earth!
Why the Owner Chose Hauula:
We chose to live in Hauula because of it's people, weather, location...far away from the crowds of Waikiki and Honolulu. The pace is slower, life is more informal and people are good friends and neighbors.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
The property is agricultural with many tropical fruit trees and an organic, aquaculture garden...so there is plenty of food right on the land. We have also started growing fish- tilapia in a large stone- walled fishpond in front of the house.
